Joe: I never rollerbladed Bill: You don’t have the body type for it. Your knuckles would scrape on the ground. Bill Burr is the only guy who can talk to Joe like that. Rogan has the highest level of respect for Bill as a friend and as one of the greatest comedians.
That’s strange, I thought the opposite. First time I’ve ever been bored out of my mind by Burr. But I’m blaming Rogan. He’s essentially saying the same shit every podcast lately. Had to turn it off.
There’s certainlu repetition at this point. Feels like a friend you hang out with too much. Love the vibe, enjoy the company, but if you are looking to have your mind blown by novelty you’ll be disappointed. I’m still a fan but I certainly see your point.
@@bojeboje842 I haven't watched or listened to JRE for about a year, just got distracted by other stuff and kinda forgout about it. Coming back, Joe seems like he crossed a line in his mind and just gave in into his worldview he always had, but kept his mind open. He seems to push his 'agenda' for lack of better term on his guests, he never did that, except DMT. Now it's all sorts of political and social/cultural stuff. It gives off really weird vibes all of sudden, I never got that before from this podcast and it freaked me out to be honest.
Kids and getting older tend to make a good man a little more thoughtful and a little less goofy. It’s great that Bill is experiencing parenthood. You can tell he loves it, and his priorities have shifted, for the better IMO.

Classic counterdependence. I love Bill’s honesty & he’s clearly doing a lot of work for the sake of his kids. Commendable. A nice surprise to hear a chat on emotional literacy from a wise crack. Fact is, if Bill had a happy childhood, he wouldn’t be the great comic he is. It’s often the case with high-performing artists, but especially so with Stand-Up. Bless Bill for being irreplaceabill 👏🏼

Shredding Gnarly Harley yeah that’s right, Nia is Bill’s Yoko Ono. Maybe he would argue that she keeps him motivated somehow, but from all the podcasts I’ve seen her shut down, like she wants to own Bill’s voice, is just sad to witness. A mind as sharp as his, and a commentary so precise, is a very rare thing, and Bill is the uncontested king of reactionary and observational comedy. Hopefully Nia knows exactly how lucky she is to be riding the coattails because she is not nearly the Oprah she thinks she is.

Christ, if I had to listen to Joe ignore causality once again, and rant about how the covid epidemic wasn't so bad and how they didn't need to shut anything down...
Bill is just pandering and being dutifully submissive to the Left/Big Science with that comment. It's likely the LACK of a medical degree that enables so many people to understand that Anthony Fauci is an idiot. We see the forest while he's blinded by the trees.
Apex #ADOS not exactly trying to defend him or whatever, but it just seems super common for people unaffected and not knowing people that have died from it to think that this isn’t and hasn’t been a big deal. What’s crazy is 22 states out of the 50 are starting to see what looks like the beginnings of a second wave. The curve has not been fully flattened and it’s honestly pretty scary. People are about to see how dangerous this virus is even for healthy young people.
"I'm not going to sit here with no medical degree, listening to you with no medical degree, with an american flag behind you, smoking a cigar, acting like we know whats up better than the CDC" --- Bill Burr is a real one
Bill is probably smart enough to know that in the end, the CDC and WHO are full of shit as everyone else. He just has not been paying attention to how often they directly contradict themselves over time, so he is not seeing it in real time. They're either a governmental or an extra-governmental bureaucracy, where budget allocation concerns and syngergizing workflows are the primary concern. Collecting and publishing data, where 'experts' make semi-educated guesses as to what this data set may mean, medically. That is why they keep flip-flopping every month or so. It's not that new data suggests this or that, so much as the experts are making sure they're 'putting int he work' to meet their budget expectations, and issuing routine reports (that better not be reiterating what they've already said about it). So, they're just as full of shit as you or me, or Rogan or Burr. Do what you want, just be ready to accept the consequences for it. If enough people do that, then the 'experts' can get real long term data and actually factorize some statistically significant conclusions from it. They're sorta like cops, in that they suck at preventing crime, because their jobs are tailored around investigating it after it happened, to determine if someone should be charged with something.

It's funny you should say that. A lot of people think it's unfair that spotify are paying Joe who's not a musician an obscene amount for a licensing deal, while their artists are making pennies off their streams.
@@grannywalter It is an obscene amount. They wouldn't do it unless they thought they'd make it back. It's not a charity. You reliably listen to podcasts. Bill is one of my favorite comics to listen to in any form. He keeps Joe grounded here in hilarious ways. "Your knuckles would drag on the ground."
This podcast will end up being a classic havent heard bill burr talk so openly and chill before
That’s strange, I thought the opposite.

Bill Burr is always amazing on JRE because he seems to act as a reminder for Joe to not take himself too seriously.

Aggro monk - Agreed... But on the contray, Joe stepped up his game and didnt take Bills shit this time. And its weird because bill Is the superior debater/talker/comedian.... but bill is censoring himself and aligning himself with the opinions his wife has. Joe Rogan is very successful, but knows that Bill Burr is the superior comedian by quite a measure.
That "Oh god... you're so tough with your open nose and throat!" line that followed afterwards was hilarious too.

@@MrZimono so they should. But what's way dumber than that is, some people actually trust Trump.

Burr is everyone's kryptonite
How's that?
Because everything Burr is in it turns into his show and gets viral
Bill is intimidating AF and peasants like Joe just completely miss the joke and creates an odd ambiance, but you know, I got a liberal arts degree, what do I know.
Slim Moses cause with any other guest rogan can pretty much steam roll them and bring up irrelevant points and steer the conversation the direction he wants, around bill burr rogan doesn't get to do that, burr has the opportunity to speak on what topics he wants to touch on and ignore rogan entirely if he wants. Example-rogan brings up doing a movie marathon and watching happy gilmore (i think that was the movie he said) and burr ignores it and starts talking about his own shit.
For all his bravado, Burr is one of the most rational comedians in regards to his politics.
Our world would be healed if everyone had his mindset.
Russian Bot Mindset, not opinions, you fool
@@Robert-po9gw sure mate sure
He's mighty white about the whole thing. In a good way.
Burr is making Joe sound like a conspiracy douche by simply reminding him neither have Phd's so STFU 👍
Feel like these two are genuinely close. They have awesome chemistry

Besides yourself.
If your alone and happy its fine. Its when the memories hit thats the issue
Vivek Rao truth right here lol.. memories you forgot about start popping up. Good development though if you can come out the other side okay.

Retrospection with Introspection can be some sour medicine to swallow. It's the Only way to actually "grow" as adults though, so I recommend leaning into it to anyone in the struggle.
And then the loneliness hurts you.
Burr: "Everyone believes in freedom of speech as long as you say what they want to hear."
How original.
You can do it your own way
If it’s done just how I say.

I'm gonna have to listen to the rest of this tomorrow. That story of the fight in the apartment and the bug on the glasses has literally just had me crying with laughter. It's 1AM and I nearly woke my kid up. No one tells a story like Burr!
Only Bill Burr says what's really in his mind without trying to please Joe.

"I dont like hysteria. I dont like making decisions with hysteria" - A simple mindset which can have such profound impact on well-being. A real pearl from Bill which many could learn from.
@ 38:08
Bill was dropping so much personal reflection knowledge in this. Mad other gems too.
easier said than done
Bill burr is one of the funniest and raw comedians left. Unfiltered and sees BS for what it is.

I prescribe Bill Burr for anyone who is depressed ... 100%
I love Bill Burr but he's the last person I'd recommend for someone depressed. He's always talking about how the world's going to hell, plastic in the oceans, people getting exploited and nobody gives a fuck

Very true cures my woes
