Philippine Kalayaan Houston to host a free community event celebrating Philippine Independence Day

The Houston community is invited to come together and celebrate the 126th anniversary of Philippine Independence and nationhood with a special event. Kalayaan 2024 is a big celebration featuring the best of Filipino food, art, music, dance, and entertainment. The Houston event is a partnership with the Philippine Consulate General of Houston. Consul Gilbert Segarra and Dr. Clemente Logronio, chairman of the Philippine Kalayaan Houston stopped by “Houston Life” to chat about Kalayaan 2024 and what it means to the Filipino community in Houston. Kalayaan 2024 is happening Saturday, June 15 at the Fort Bend Epicenter from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is FREE. Watch the clip to learn more.
