Chris, as someone who’s suffered from the puppy blues hard, IT GETS EASIER. I would find myself crying every day from stress and anger and rethinking the decision of getting him, but it really just teaches you patience and please never miss out on opportunities to train worm. My dog is almost 3 now and he’s mellowed out and truly become my dream dog. Hang in there

Chris, I completely understand what you mean when you talk about worm. Having a puppy is soooo hard. You HAVE to keep thinking of what is going on in worms head. She doesn’t know any better, (she’ll learn but it takes time) she can’t speak your language, she just wants to love you and you love her back. It’s a hard road and challenge but it’s so rewarding when you get through it. Train her, be patient with her, and love her forever.
I had those same exact thoughts with my puppy a year ago. Today, I wouldn’t know where I’d be without her. KEEP GOING ❤ you’re doing great
I'm sorry you're having a hard time lately chris. Hope things get better soon and you start to feel better about your pups. Being a pet parent is hard you're essentially a single dad lol. Pets are hard work. Maybe some training would help Worm? ❤

Fyi your depression doesn’t bother me. Like at all. I think myself and many others know exactly what you’re going through and like it doesn’t phase me or detour me from watching your videos. You’re not a circus clown and you don’t have to perform and entertain us. We’re here for you, all of you, in the ups and the downs. If people are making you feel that you need to hide your depression because it’s “annoying” then those people aren’t for you. Love you

I know I’m late, but I just want to say I’ve had really hard time since I got long Covid in 2022. I’m doing all right now and can still work and see my friends, but I miss being active and the person I used to be. I feel like many other people are feeling run down from Covid, but they feel like they aren’t allowed to talk about it. Y’all, please wear a mask and take care of each other ❤

Adding a second dog is so hard. I think you have soulmates in animals too. I think it’s so hard when those animals happen early in life. The relationship with each of your animals is so different.

I’ve been feeling that way too Chris! Just an undertone of depression and feeling like moving through life is just HARD. I got an email this morning from the THIRD job I’ve interviewed for since January that they decided not to hire anymore but I was their top choice. Like what the fuck.
When i went cold turkey (why is that a phrase, wild) off of zoloft i quit drinking as well. I also had horrible shift in mood. Started Wellbutrin and it got better but not before some mania lmfao
I am listening to this episode and feel so bad when hearing you talk about your struggle. I just found your accounts yesterday and started binge watching your content. Just know that no matter how you may feel, you are helping others and changing lives. By far the most relatable and comforting online persona❤
maybe you might consider hiring a dog trainer or something for Worm. its not shameful when you can't take care of two dogs alone
I think people forget we are animals first. We have no special purpose on this planet just like any other animal. The meaning of life is to live. That's it. We are not some grand special beings. We live, we die. And how you live can be determined by where you were born and who your parents are. Nothing is equal. Nothing is fair. Figure out who you are as a person and with what you have available to you - try to live a life that will make the person you are the happiest. P.S. anyone who eats butt should be aware there is the possibility of coming across poo or TP.

you will get through the puppy stage! if you can find a local dog sitter to watch her while you’re in ny that could be an amazing option! see if there’s any older folks in the area that love dogs and would be willing to do that. hire a trainer if you need to, sometimes they will offer dog sitting services too, contact a local kennel/daycare and see if any employees are looking for a dog sitting side gig?

Chris!!! Baby the way I yelled YESSS hearing you talk about worm. My puppy is just over a year, she’s got so much energy, stubborn as hell, and makes me wonder if I can do this! Rehoming is just off the table for me too but I feel guilty even considering! Like it’s so much on top of everything else, you’re so valid. You have more strength than you give yourself credit for!!
I feel you are heavy on the dog situation. We got a puppy in October and it's been so hard some days. She has so much energy, and patience only runs so thin it can be difficult. You speaking on this, and keeping it in the podcast made me feel less worse/guilty about also thinking about what life would be without her. Obviously, I will never get rid of her we are bonded for life, but those thoughts come to my mind too. I also cannot grasp how this would be with a child....... so scary.

Chris, I love the honesty. I really relate to where you are at right now-- to not have anything really bad going on and being financially okay, but still feeling so, so, so low. I'm in the exact same place right now. It's frustrating, real, and crippling. Your girl is on lexapro, using CBT and DBT skills, etc. and still feeling the way I do. I don't think it's good to be partners in misery, but it's good to know I'm not crazy, alone, and/or unreasonable to feel the way I do despite everything good in my life. I don't get it and I hate it, but it's where I'm at. It's so hard to get out of the trenches when you're predisposed to just feel this way. I want you to know that I appreciate you, your honesty, and keeping it real. I don't feel like it's something you should feel guilty or need to hide.

Chris, I want you to know that I have been in the same boat with you thinking about rehoming a dog, and it makes me feel so much better to know that I'm not alone. My dog Archie turned 1 earlier this month, we have had him since June of last year and it has been HARD. There have been so many times that I've thought to myself that maybe getting him was a bad idea. Now we only have one dog, but also have two cats. One of them was sick (and had to be put down two weeks ago😔) so that plus training a puppy has had me in stress overload, but you make me feel so validated! Of course I would never rehome him either, even with all of the stress, he has brought a lot of love and happiness to my life, especially right now. I also want you to know how much happiness you and your videos and podcast have brought to me. Thank you for being you❤

I think it’s also okay if you have to rehome her, maybe she’s just not meant for you, and that’s okay too! If it’s taking this much of a toll, unfortunately I don’t think it’s worth your mental health.. just my opinion ❤️

my dog also has diarrhea issues! we learned he’s allergic to chicken.. it’s very expensive to get dog food with no chicken, so i make his food at home myself! maybe that would help! i cook it all at once in a slow cooker!
