you're very welcome. for the drawer, the design is to be inside. But you can apply a brake behind the drawer to stop its movement when it is aligned

In the instructions it says it needs to be fastened to a wall? Is it necessary and does it balance fine without fastening to the wall?
fix it to the wall is a safety measure to protect children. Because the children cling to the furniture and fall on it. IKEA added this option to decline all responsibility. if you don't have kids don't fix it if you want.

Hi if we put the draws rails which or on the side pieces forward using the unused holes would it be okay? The draw only comes out half way so their is a lot of space wasted at the back of drawer…

Great video. The only thing I find wrong with this dresser , the draw does not come out far enough for it to be utilised to its maximum. I can’t get to the back of the draw without taking organiser trays out? A third of the draw is useless! Does anyone else have this issue?
Yes indeed. And I think it was on purpose. Because when the drawers are closed, it goes back a lot. And in the assembly it is attached to the back. Thanks for watching
Just move the brackets forward by 2 holes. Then you can access the whole drawer. Thanks for your tutorial x

That is true . but it is not a defect but it is a design. searching Malm Dressing Table in ikea.com to see pictures.
I don't think he put the runners on the correct holes, it's not what the instructions say

All I can say is this desk is a piece of junk. You can’t even open the drawer all the way. What a waste of money. I bought two, one for each of my daughters the first one had a bad part. Now that they are fully assembled, I can see how junkie they really are. Don’t waste your money
