Oris is a brand that just doesn't get enough love. Independent brand, interesting and unique design and fantastic fit and finish. Sure the have used ETA or Selita movements, but most of their watches can be had for less than $2k. IWC is happy to sell you a Selita movement watch for $6k or Bell & Ross will sell you one for $4k. Oris deserves credit for keep prices reasonable for what you get, especially when you look at their divers line.

Mine (on brown suede strap) has become my go-to all around casual wear watch. Comfortable, surprisingly versatile, awesome '70s vibe without the hard-to-read chrono sub dials. Got it new for much less than quoted in this review as well.

Thanks for another excellent review. It would be great in your reviews if you could demonstrate the operation of the bracelet release, take it off and put it back on, the security and ease of the release on a bracelet is very important to me and maybe others as well?...just food for thought. Thanks, great videos and excellent clarity/focus/production, etc. Cheers.

it is amazing, but i kinda prefer the rubber band one, the stainless steel bracelet just makes it look to grey. the black strap adds a bit of contrast that helps bring the grey of the dial out more in my opinion.

Really liked the ‘reverse angle’ shots

Great. You can expect more of that going forward for a better sense of the way the watch wears and looks.

New camera work, having a hard time warming up to hand held/floating shots. Dizzying. Least the watch is a home run though! Great review.

Almost perfect me. Almost. I just wish the hands' lenght are according to the sector/radial segment of the dial

First, thank you for the movie. Regarding the strap, after seeing it, in all the straps, the only strap that really fits it, and where it looks its best, is the strap made of metal. All the other straps, unfortunately, look like a Japanese gag. Of course I ordered the metal strip. classic.

Yesterday i bought an Oris Sixty Five ( Blue and Black Face Funky Numerals) and i was struggling between choosing the Chronoris Date and the Sixty Five. I love them both so much! There's nothing to compare but, do you think guys i made the right decision?

The only way to make sure you made the right choice is do you still have the 65 after 3 years.

I have one problem with this watch. There is no orange on the side of the date window, just grey. To me it kind of throws off the dial a little bit. Otherwise I really like it. Nice review by the way!

Hey Max. That's a Flieger Chronograph from Stowa. If by any chance you live in New York City or are in the tri-state area this weekend, Stowa will be showcasing their watches at our Wind^Up Watch Fair in Chelsea Market. One of the few chances to check out these watches in the States.

The fact that it is part of a chronograph line even with a chronograph name but is not a chronograph ruined it for me.

It's really nice, but it should have been a single subdial 30-minute chronograph. It's such a clean, handy layout, but maybe not having a seconds hand would be seen as primitive in the 2010s.

The CHRONOris is neither a CHRONOgraph nor a CHRONOmeter. The name sucks, but it looks okay, and the bracelet is nice and unique.

Face looks plasticy and cheap. Design is distinct in today's market, but they could have shaved a few mm of the thickness. The watch sits too high. The metal retro-ish bracelet is horrible. Just something you can find on 1970s Japanese watch. I get the retro shtick but it looks cheap and blingy. Reviewer is correct the date-wheel should have been black. The watch should be on the rubber strap, carbon strap or if you want retro steel bracelet it should be tapering like Rolex Sub.
