I just started learning some gypsy jazz licks and it becomes apparent just how much Syn is using that genre in his recent solos, which is why they feel so weird to play. Those guitarists are legends
Yep that's it! He's a massive fan of gypsy jazz and loves throwing it into his solos, especially from Hail to the King onwards.

Why syn's playing hand looks soo economic, almost effortless
He's a really good player, and he's well-versed in gypsy jazz which I believe utilises a lot of those economic picking movements

I was learning in drop d on my 6string and felt like something wasn’t right, only to realize the it’s in e standard half way through learning. Since he usually plays this on the headless 7 string I guess he tunes it differently. Noted.
Haha yeah, he's playing in Drop A on seven strings. So the first six strings are in standard

@@KarzGuitar Sorry i wasn't clear, it's the actual file that isn't opening on my computer. I've tried a few other files tonight (Lost and Second Heartbeat) and both were ok, just not the Nobody files, including the one you linked to
@@SynSpiderz Sorry to hear that man :( I just downloaded it on a new PC and could open it with GP 7 and 8, so I've got no idea what the issue could be!
@KarzGuitar must be the app I'm using to open it then as I'm using GuiarTab for it. If it is tabbed for a 7 string that might be the issue
@SynSpiderz oh that could absolutely be it, didn't know that 7 strings could cause an issue. The full song is played using 7, so I kept the solo tab as 7 too but the low A isn't used at all.
Check that second link again - I made a 6 string version for Nobody. Lemme know if it works!

Man you are playing in standard E, Avenged turning is Drop D. This helps you with the first passage.
Not on this one my dude, this songs in Drop A on a seven string guitar. Syn plays the top 6 strings in standard. Check any live vid and that's how he starts the passage.
Drop D would actually make the start of the second ascent muuuuch harder
@@KarzGuitar I see he has a 7 strings guitar, but I can't figured out why....what's the reason...
Anyway we are playing this live with a Drop D tuning (actually Drop Db for the singer voice) and I was able to translate the second passage around the 12th fret, using a G minor arpeggio in a shape of "C".
Because the main riff (that big bend that starts the song) uses the lowest string- I'm guessing you're playing the same note one octave higher.
His tone for the main riff is layered with octaves using the axefx which can make it confusing to work out at first! But yeah, whatever works for you is fine - understandable if you prefer a 6 string. This video is just trying to show how Syn plays it :)
@@KarzGuitar yes we are actually doing with two guitars, both on fractal, layered with a +12 pitch each, and a synth on the top (both). I'm playing the D on the 7 fret (A string) and he's dropped in C on the lower string, so he's playing the 2nd fret bending it up.
Result is pretty accurate, if you have time take a look to our tribute page "Danger Line Tribute"

Whole song is on a 7 string in Drop A I believe, but the solo only needs standard tuning on a 6 string :)
I think the tuning is ADADGBE . It's a double Drop tuning in 6th and 7th string or something like this . Because the whole song is in D minor ( I think ) but the solo in C minor
@gabrielpsycho4549 would make the 6th string notes very awkward + if you watch the live footage, he's playing the 6th string in E (I've got a vid of it slowed down)
This solo is a 148 BPM?
@@rafaeldebritosampaio3101 it's more like 74, but for transcribing the solo it helped to not have bars separating each passage so frequently
