Well, in this case both Dvořák and the NCO are awfully hard to beat. As a music lover I'm beginning to wonder what I've missed by never visiting Norway. I wonder how many different cities I'd have to visit to get a flavor of the music scene. This may mean going to museums, schools, churches, outdoor settings and such in addition to concert and recital halls.
It's great that they are playing off iPads - it means they don't need a page turner! So then they can just concentrate on playing, and looking at the other players to feed off each others energy, emotion, rhythm and dynamics. What a marvellous outcome of new technology. Perfect way to use it.
It's certainly one of his most enjoyable pieces. And if I had to choose between this piece and Tjajkovskij's Serenade for Strings ... well ... sorry, Pjotr Ilyich, but you're out. 😉
Love, love, love this. The second movement valse made me feel like floating up from my seat into the air, but the entire performance was uplifting (pardon the pun).
I have always liked Norwegian Chamber Orchestras approach on classical music, and this consert is no exception. Just a wonderful interpretation ot this classical favourite.
This is my favorite piece from Dvořák, and you guys made it sound heavenly. Great Job!🥰🥰❤ If I had to give a personal opinion, I would have liked more fortissimo in the Last Movement for the Violas. Most recordings always have them being overplayed by the Violins 16th note running lines. I have looked at the score and thought that Violas have the melody when the second theme appears, but the Violins 16th notes always over play the Violas, but thats just my opinion.
No coughing, no ringtones... Just pure bliss
Thank you
Dvorak knew how to make you love his pieces.
This is one of the loveliest composition in human history ....I really don't know what I really fell when I listen to this piece...
I could listen to the first movement all day long.
And the rest of them!
Ive gotten to play it and it still never gets old!!!
The spirit of Dvorak visits Norway and brings orchestra and listeners alike to Heaven.

This is amazing
the musicians look like they are just having so much fun, almost as if they were playing around casually with friends

WOW
THIS is why davorak is my favorite composer
The best piece of this composer in my opinion. Great reading and beatiful Norwengian ladies.

I'm obsessed with the 2nd movement...the balance of darkness and light speaks to my inner being. Dvorak is my favorite composer for sure!
I've never heard a better interpretation of "Tempo di Valse" of Dvorzak's Serenade, OP 22 in E-Major ❤️❤️❤️! Thank you so much 🥲
It's wonderful to see musicians, in a classical orchestra, playing and smiling. Congratulations, beautiful interpretation!❤️
This piece will forever drive to the center of my soul
Love, love, love this. The second movement valse made me feel like floating up from my seat into the air, but the entire performance was uplifting (pardon the pun).
Gorgeous, glorious and so beautifully interpreted.

Very nice cello timber.
Unbalanced sounds in the violins there is not
the density and the fire of the powerful tone something you always had.
