My thoughts exactly. I thought it was a collaboration with Chuck Billy when I first heard it on Liquid Metal.
I thought he sounded like James Hetfield. It's like Metallica gatecrashed the session. Lol
I have probably only heard one single Abney Park song in my life, but the clean section here reminded me of it. But I can also see (hear) you're other two suggestions.

One of the most underrated bands in metal. They seem to keep getting better while staying true to who they are.
They are kinda new to the scene however they are recently getting some serious traction. I haven't seen a band blow up this quick since Disturbed released their debut.
One of the most consistently amazing bands around today.

They are not influenced by labels. They write the music exactly how they want it to feel and sound. Very rare. It’s why we need to share the shit out of everything they do. Game changers for sure.

So as far as I understand this is a song about an ayahuasca (DMT+MAOi) trip, since ayahuasca originates from the amazon jungle where shamans would make it from plants containing DMT and MAOi. Haven't done ayahuasca, but have smoked DMT and the way he describes it the trip is fairly accurate.

Orbit Culture really brought back meaning in breakdowns. I got so sick of hearing breakdowns from my teenaged metalcore years, but Orbit Culture has this magic power to crush my testicles with every breakdown, and you know every time they're building up for one it's going to actually deliver. Orbit Culture literally never misses.

The art of music is huge in Sweden, biggest exporter of pop music in relation to GDP and second only to Finland in most metal bands in the world per capita. I'm very fortunate that my country has so many awesome bands in so many different metal subgenres. But my personal number 1 favourite band is from Germany.
@@Battouga I had a Swedish friend who, back in the day, got to see bands like Entombed and InFlames quite regularly for free at clubs in Gothenburg - makes an Aussie jealous!
What's your German band? So many good German bands too, Kreator, Sodom, Destruction, Helloween, Blind Guardian, Accept, Scorpions, Gamma Ray, Edguy, Primal Fear, and of course Rammstein. Just to name a few. I'd have to say Kreator would be my all time fave German metal band 🤘

You called it my man, my number 1 band since I heard them the first time some 25 years ago is Blind Guardian but all mentioned are bangers! Kreator is top notch but so is Sodom, can't really choose between them as best German thrash.
