- Singer Taylor Swift thrilled the audience at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) by announcing her new album on-stage.
During her acceptance speech for the Best Longform Video award at the 2022 MTV VMAs the 32-year-old singer said that her new album will drop on 21 October.
“I will tell you more at midnight,” Swift said.
The Lover singer wowed fans with a surprise appearance at this year’s VMAs at New Jersey’s Prudential Stadium on Sunday, 28 August.
The artist, who has a storied relationship with the awards, wore a dazzling, sheer diamond-look ensemble by designer Oscar de la Renta.

Whenever I have a major event going on in my life Taylors music has been always there for me. Like when I feel in love with my best friend “you belong with me” was there to soothe me, “Back to December “ when I was getting over a heartbreak of first love, “fearless” when I was going through the pains n pressure of teenage life, Reputation came out when I was dealing with betrayal from people who I considered my friends, Folklore and evermore has accompanied me on lonely nights when it gets so dark I cannot breathe, and now I am graduating med school and her album comes as a perfect graduation gift.
Businesswoman through and through. First she makes it all about the fans, thanks them, and then she makes it sound that it was not planned and it is a "gift" she is giving to the fans... and THEN she sells it. Genius
What she should do otherwise? She making it for her living also...... nothing wrong! Also she giving job opportunities for her workers like backup singers/dancers!
