Hello Bob Seger fans. What a legend this guy is, even today. i'm nearly 62 years old and i've been listening to Bob Seger since the 70's. I never get tired of his music.
Today is my Moms birthday. Just listening to some of her favorites and remembering the good old days. She's been gone gone for almost 5 years and I'm still a 53 year old LOST man! Nothing prepares you for the loss of all your favorite people so love them while you still have them!
I wish I could tell you that loss gets easier but it doesn't always. Im almost 65 and my husband of 40 years died 7 years ago and I'm still lost...but listening to good music helps when I can't sleep. Im sorry for your loss of your mom.
My mom passed 16 yrs ago when she was only 45. I was 24 when she passed and it's hard to believe in a few yrs I'll be as old as she was when she was taken so suddenly from us. This song is one of a few I listen to when I think of her like today. So I feel ur pain❤️ just know ur not alone! Sorry for ur loss 🙏❤️RIP all the beautiful angels ❤️❤️
My husband was lead guitar player in a band. This was one of his favorites! Reminded him of being on the road. Not really a glamorous life. But when music is in one’s blood, the thrill of being on stage makes it worth it. I’m sure he enjoyed being adored by fans. Bob Seeger has many great songs. Sept 2023
I'm an old man now, and most nights instead of hypnotizing my mind watching the tv I go outside listen to these old songs and travel the backroads of my memories.

Got up every morning for about 3 months straight and first thing I'd do was listen to this song while looking at my grandpa's Korea service plaque. I was getting sober from a severe opiate addiction cold turkey. It worked, I'm not sure how but somethings aren't meant to be figured out. Over 4 and a half years later, still going strong living a sober healthy life. I Turned The Page. Thanks Bob.

Love this masterpiece!!!!! My dad passed away last December and he loved this. I do too because it makes me feel him with me. Bob seagar is definitely a legend!!! Love him!!!
I was blessed to see Bob Segar perform when he was first getting started 1972ish? He may have lived in AnnArbor, Mi. I grew up in Toledo, Ohio, but moved in 1971. Was home visiting family. I had heard the radio start playing his songs. There was an old Movie Theater from the 1930’s in rough downtown Toledo. Very small. He was playing. Got front seat there were about 20 people there. Segar was tall, thin and had long dark hair. He song his heart out without stopping. Bounced all over the stage the entire time. What a sight to see. So happy he made, from the beginning he was one of the good guys with much talent😇❤️
Even though this was released in 1973, but no matter how old it gets, it'll always be legendary, and Bob Seger, without a doubt, is an absolute legend, and always will be.
There was this old hole in the wall pizza joint me and my parents would go to when I was growing up. My mom would have a couple beers, my dad went for the food, me well now that I think about it I went for the memories. It had a couple pool tables and an old dusty jukebox. My mom always gave me some quarters and I would play this song for her. Then me and dad would hop on a pool table and play a couple games. I lost my dad in 06 and just lost my mom last year. Every time I hear this song it takes me right back there, enjoying the memory, enjoying the good times we had together.
i went to the same hole. momma having a few to many and dancing sexy to this song. The evening would always end with dad being embarrassed all to hell. Grabbing me by the arm he'd say. Don't look now mommas got her boobs out showing everybody in town....
I had the honor of seeing him in person when I was younger. I still love listening to him even at my older age. He is so smooth and love his voice. He is one of my favorites. "May the Fourth be with you "
I'm 16 and I always thought my dad looked an awful lot like Bob Seger. Lynyrd Skynyrd, Johnny Cash, and Bob Seger always make me think of him. R.I.P. Dad 1969-2016
Several years ago my brother lost a leg due to diabetes but managed to still live on his own. A year ago he suffered multiple strokes that took his vision and crippled his left side and he can no longer care for himself in any way. He has lost his will to live until you play Bob Seger for him. My brother taught himself how to play the guitar and he could sing and play any Bob Seger song by heart. This music is the only thing that brings him happiness. Thank you Bob for keeping my big brother alive. Update on my big brother, his daughter bought him an Alexa and he can listen to his beloved music whenever he wants. Trying to figure out a way for him to be able to call us through Alexa. Anyone with ideas please let me know. Thank you all for your kind words, I make sure to share all of your comments with him, to him its like your writing him letters. Thank you all so much. My brother got a new roommate that plays guitar and the harmonica. My brother requests Turn the page often and his roommate graciously strums as my brother desperately tries to remember the words to sing along. God works in mysterious ways. I have not seen my brother so happy in a very long time. Thank you all for the love and support you are showing us during this trying time. I wish you could have met him before his strokes, he was so funny and made up songs that cracked us all up.
I still love this song as much as I did when it came out. I'll be 70 in October and still rocking out with Seger. Most definitely beats some of today's music!!
This song reminds me about my wife. It was her favorite song before she lost the battling to cancer, I wish I could change the hands of time, I miss her smiles, she was always there for me and our lovely daughter, and I never miss a moment with her, life could be so unfair most times, there is some pain, I will cry in vain but won’t let you know how I will feel yes, I will miss you to the core! but some times i wonder why bad thing always happen to good people. She’s always in our heart. ..
As a 64 year old man who actually lived the lyrics of this song for several years it will forever live on as a major bookmark of the wonderful life I've been blessed to live...
My daddy died on Friday, he was 62 years old, and it happened so suddenly. He LOVED this band and many others. If you hav children, even if they’re grown, call them… send them your love… life is too short, Mr. Edward.
Amen my friend, I grew up with Bob's music and now in my 50's . I've never met a stranger, no matter race or any pathetic stuff they bring up today. We were and always will be brothers . God Bless
I remember my dad singing this while we canoed down Blackwater River in northwestern Florida, every spring; He loved Seger, and this song, as well. He passed away two years ago. You are Seen, Heard, and Felt, with sympathy from across the electric void.
One of my TOP FAV songs FOREVER no matter what year it is. This song touched my soul when I first heard it as a young teenager and STILL DOES as a Grandmother!
I played this while my dad was unconscious and dying. He ended up dying right before he says "out there in the spotlight you're a million miles away". This song will always stick with me. It crushes my heart everytime I hear it.
David gates and Bread, Everything I own and Mike and the Mechanics in the living years, Does the Same to me Katie and i'm 67 years old.....I was 17 when i watched my father die on the couch from throat cancer.....I Know what you feel.....Bless You !!!!
seger writes the vision in our minds. puts us all there at that moment. we all had monents at the drive ins and then travellin. music is life. seger is a music god
Who's listening to this in 2019? Hell yeah! Awesome song , the good times and smoke back in the day! I am glad I was there when the best music was made.
haha im half your guys age and man this song is still awesome. i feel like im the only millenial that listens to this song every day. I wish I were in your guys day =)
The radio version of this was my first song as a little kid. Did not know the words but I remembered how it sounded and it was something that kinda pulled me in and ive been a fan of Segers for a very long time and have all his Cd Albums. I hope hes got maybe another couple albums left in him!!) 😎 Turn The Page Forever,,,
bob CTR brother was one hell of a man in the 70s we were really going to miss that guy I'm sorry to hear that cuz he helped me his music help me through a lot of sad times and good times and I will still keep listening to him while he's gone because I don't have his daddy and die hard
I still remember the time when I first saw an overtired , lifetime trucker drivin, smokin a cigarette, and singing this song. I musta been 17 at the time, working late nights for a Moving Company. I have never forgotten that soulful moment of a stranger, that inspired my love for this song forever.
This song just touches my soul ❤ I can be driving, this song comes on & I want to go anywhere but where I have to be. I will be 66 next month in Aug. Guess I need to write this song down for my funeral 30 years from now. Love reading all the posts & comments. This song is like memory lane.
67 years young or old, however you want to call it. Bob Seger is definitely one of the greats. There is no better time to dance than when Good Old Time Rock and Roll is on!
I first heard Metallica’s version of this back the late 90’s, not even realising it was a cover. Then, I went to live in the USA a few years later, and the bar I used to go to after work played this. Blew me away, and as previous comments have said, that sax solo just gives you chills.
Bob Seger is one of the best singer/songwriter in the world. Love everything that Bob Seger sings. God bless you Bob. Thank you for making such great music.
EPICburgerman769 agreed . I’m 29 And I’ll sing you every word to this song and rap to you for the next song. I think an eclectic taste in music in all genres is great !
I was fortunate enough to see Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band, in Milwaukee. What a great concert, as usual the vocals and musical talent were right on. I was so impressed.
@Aniwayas Song Sorry, but I grew up on him in the 70s. He is from Detroit and still lives here with family. I am also from Detroit and he has many loyal fans from here. Because of how he acts like a regular person and not like a star.
Most times you can hear them talk, other times you can't. I can't think of a more perfect lyric. Stunning writing. You always seem out-numbered. You don't dare make a stand.
This song is immortal👍. They can’t write good music that moves you this day and age😢. Brings back so many good memories🤗. Hope the millennials listen and learn how music should be❤️.
This is one of my most favorite songs ever hands down. The lyrics the composition the instruments are all in perfect harmony and above all BOB SEGER .Simply a masterpiece Thank you
The opening sounds of Alto Reed's sax are etched in all of us Seeger fans forever. What a song. It's my favorite of all of his songs. The lyrics are killer, especially for all of us on the road........again.
Turn The Page and The Loadout are two songs that I always play during setup and strike... The life on the road... Have had a couple of venues complain, I just turned it up louder.
Forever!!! Grew up on the back roads in farmland Michigan, the thumb to be exact. Me and my best friend riding around doing laps in town in her white Pinto. Bob Segar now has a farmhouse in the same county and by my home town. I’m 60 now but every time I here his voice I’m home again.
This is so good just sitting here with my bird sitting on my shoulder watching his favorite videos, he's singing to it. Bob Seegar really sings so good everything stops to watch my dog,cat ,& bird we enjoy this so much it can make Sept 2023 seem like a nightmare, this was when times were good, that saxophone is perfect, love this man.
My brother was a truck driver 2 lost his mind I don't know what happened to him haven't seen him in years then walking across America I guess love the guy and the malls this was his favorite song when he was in his truck brings back memories love you stay strong be good or be good at it
Sorry to hear that Ryan hope he's safe somewhere thank you I've drove a truck for over 30 and would never do anything else it's in my blood my dad was a trucker I feel my strongest behind the wheel take care.
I have never stopped. I was 13 then. I am now 63 several times over those 53 years l have listened to it, somewhere in those lyrics it takes me right back to being young when everything was not so complicated.
This song always reminded me of my dad who worked as a truck driver for 30 yrs. I imagined this was how his life was early in his career in the 70's. For 21 years, he left out on a Sunday evening and coming back Thursday evening. I had no idea how brutal his life on the road was until I was grown and l can't thank him enough for teaching me about perseverance and hard work. Thanks dad! ❤
Hi i just wanted to thank you again for being so supportive and following me on my Journey. I love inspiring and encouraging others. People like you help me to keep showing up! Hope you are having an amazing day.
My dad was a trucker too. After my parents were married, he took a job at Kennedy Space Center. My parents always met in the middle, after that mom left it up to my father. They never made a decision on their own. If an event came up they trusted the other one fully to make the right choice. Dad truly loved being on the road. In our travels over the years, dad l know when he got behind the wheel with the road ahead was able to remember driving his Mack. He got the best of two being a trucker and loving mom. And later on his love was given so freely to the children he and mom created. They are both in Heaven, and I know God would not have any other place for the two of them to find.
My husband is a retired trucker. He had this cd when we first met. Listening to this going over the road was unforgettable. Especially at night when the roads haven't got lots of traffic. 😊
I'm 62 also and I really never left. Been playing lead guitar in bands most my life. Long before it was called classic rock. Best music ever written and played. Stay young in your and no one can take that away from us. Rock on!
I was born in 80' and I would give anything to have been born in your Era!!! They just don't make good music anymore! Its a shame because this music had a story and feel to it
I’ve been listening to Bob Seger for 48 years. Have seen him in concert 8 times in 8 different states over the years. Love you Bob Seger! Patty Caruso, Lake City, FL
I still listen almost everyday. Brings back great memories of great friends many years ago!! That I still have and think about often and miss!! Thanks for the good times that will never be forgotten!! Love & miss you all!! 🙏🦋🌈🌠🌟🎆🎇🌌🌅🌞🌜💃🕺💐🪻🎪🎪😉❤️💜💙🩵💚🧡

Here I Am.

I wish you could have met him before his strokes, he was so funny and made up songs that cracked us all up.
some times all we need to hear is the right keywords to keep on going, I wish the best for your brother.
I’m so glad your brother can find comfort in this music. Wish I could hear him play a sing this song. God bless him❤️

EXACTLY!!!❤
A classic forever. I'm 71 and I still play this a couple times a week, the lyrics just speak to me.
She’s always in our heart. ..
Song came out a few years before I was born ('77), but have listened to this song as long as I can remember. 👍👍

My mom used to have Bob , the Doobie Brothers and Rod Stewart coming through the windows when we got off the school bus 😊

I first heard Metallica’s version of this back the late 90’s, not even realising it was a cover. Then, I went to live in the USA a few years later, and the bar I used to go to after work played this. Blew me away, and as previous comments have said, that sax solo just gives you chills.

I love his music! Saw him in 1977, what a great concert! Will always appreciate him.
The sax makes this song
Forever!!! Grew up on the back roads in farmland Michigan, the thumb to be exact. Me and my best friend riding around doing laps in town in her white Pinto. Bob Segar now has a farmhouse in the same county and by my home town. I’m 60 now but every time I here his voice I’m home again.
That sax echoes through my soul. The very first note takes me away from where I am, wherever I am. Eternal Bob Seeger fan.

Thanks dad! ❤
Hi i just wanted to thank you again for being so supportive and following me on
my Journey.
YOU AND ME BOTH BROTHER i couldnt wait to hear that ole pete come down the driveway i knew pop was home and i could," shine that shit".
