Ken Ham is right, this world is created 6000 years ago in 6 24-hour days with the Adamic race in it. But the earth and the Universe is older, it exists since the beginning and the former world perished completely including heaven (Sun, moon, stars). 2. Peter 3:6-8 speaks of a former world that perished in water and a world now, that was created in Gen 1:3ff on an old earth, as the New Heaven and earth will be created at this earth in the future. Heb 1:2 and 11:3 says, Yeshua created the worlds (plural), that means Gen 1:1 and the 6-day creation are 2 different creations on the same earth.
Eze 28:13-19 speaks of a former world with nations and iniquity (sin) that God obviously judged in Gen 1:2. That this was judgment of God says Jer 4;23 (tohu va bohu) and not a creation in the beginning (Isa 45:18).

Ken Ham has my full approval because he sticks to the word of GOD. There are a panoply of so called "apologetic teachers" out there who are teaching ideas out of their own heart.

Word of God and Bible are however two different entities.
Jesus Christ is the Word of God. The Bible is a collection of testimony about him (including the OT texts.)
Lot's of misconception among Christians about this and many have turned into bibliolatry, which got problems of it's own. If one doesn't have the 'Spirit of Truth' one will still walk in untruth.
@gerardmoloney433 You don't understand the meaning of 2Peter 3:8/Psalm 90:4. You have wrenched these verses out of context. No, these verses absolutely do not prove a day isn't necessarliy 24 hours. Nowhere else in scripture is the meaning of the word "yom" disputed.
These verses have nothing to do with Genesis 1. They teach God is not bound by time as we are, and is not slow in His promises.
Six times the Lord defines HIS usages of the word "yom" in Genesis 1. SIX times He shows us these days are 24 hours. An evening and a morning are indeed 24 hours. Do you live on a different planet than Earth?
Apparently, it is YOU who thinks he knows better than God's Word. Ken Ham is telling you what God's Word actually says. Every Hebrew scholar knows the Hebrew of Genesis is saying 24 hours, and further, it was Moses' intent to show each day as 24 hours.
Repent and believe the Lord your God.

I do however have to cringe when people say a book is the 'absolute authority' or 'final authority'. That actually even rejects the authoritative character of the bible, which stipulates that God the Father is the final authority. The bible is reliable testimony to that.

Look, I'm a YEC, but one may be saved and still reject the truth of the Genesis creation account as being 6 days. What one believes about the length of those days is not part of the Gospel.
But, yes, the foundation of the Gospel is in Genesis. Further, if billions of years did in fact occur, our God does not exist. For the events we are told occurred during that deep time completely refute the creation week. These events are also opposed to the very character and nature of God, such that, if they did occur, God would have had to violate his nature and in doing so would have destroyed Himself.
But OEC's are often unaware of the cognitive disonance they engage in, though some I think knowingly embrace the lie. They still believe the gospel, and they are still born again children of God.
The only way to be saved today is to believe Paul's Gospel of Grace, that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the 3rd day for our justification. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4
That is the Gospel that is the power of God unto salvation for anyone THAT BELIEVES IT. Romans 1:16
We grow (in knowledge and understanding of doctrine, and in faith) from there.

Dr Ham? The man has a Bachelor of Applied Science and Diploma of Education, but no doctorate degree, not even a Doctor of Ministry. He has six honorary doctorates from small and virtually unknown seminaries and Bible colleges, but honorary doctorates are not seen as terminal degrees.

But I realized after hearing your talks, that I taught them stories NOT theology, mainly because I had never been taught it. Forgive me for answering your question to Dr Ham, and I believe that he would probably agree that the Sabbath is important to observe from a biblical perspective, and the new testament teaches that we are freed from the law.

One scripture from Paul gives us proper understanding of whether we are bound by Sabbath restrictions.
Romans 14:5 One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind.
If the Sabbath restrictions of the Old Testament were still binding, the Holy Spirit would never have had Paul write that, for that verse refutes the very idea.

I am a serious skeptic, but Ken Ham is absolutely right. The age of the Earth is touched in the Book of Genesis and yes, you must choose between six literal days or millions of years.
I personally don't know when the creation, or self-generation from the quantum vacuum(Big Bang) took place, but one or the other must be false.
A Christian should always defend six days creation over any other theories, not try mix them. If I were a devout Christian, I would feel compelled to defend Young Earth Creation.
You are almost there, keep going, there's a reward at the end of making right choices.

@@besearchingforwisdom6267 To be honest, I am agnostic, I don't know if God or gods exist, but I think it's a shame Christians and even famous apologists like Craig and John Lennox don't regard the whole Bible as written history, only threat Genesis like a framework as God really is responsible for creating the world using automatic natural laws.
They insist that God did create is what's important, not how and when.
Christian apologists should display confidence in the Bible from the very first verse. No wonder skeptics like me are hesitant to take Christianity seriously, when they are not serious enough.
Christians must accept miracles to occur, but choose to believe only in virgin conception and resurrection of Jesus, but not a six day creation... Like, what...?

The earth is old, the world is created in 6 days 6ooo years ago on an old earth, which is created in Gen1:1 and perished completely in Gen 1:2.
@@davidpiot8098 You have to distinguish between the planet earth and the world that is created on it. Yeshua created worlds (Heb 2:1; 11:3). That are at least 2 one in Gen 1L1 and another in 6 days on the old earth.

I’ve been a Creationist ever since and throughout the years the evidence just continues to grow. And my faith continues to be more sound every day.
I now have two nieces and one nephew and I will have the answers for them now so they won’t struggle like I did.
It’s a really tough world right now because of all the lies that have permeated everything. But, this ministry has definitely saved many people.

As far as the earth being Millions of years old , it is impossible for me to believe this , because that is not what The Bible says ! Sadly, you are correct. Most "christian" universities are compromised. They are not much different than secular universities. In order to get approved for federal funding and accreditation, they have had to mold themselves according to government standards. The only solution is for seminaries and universities to stop caring about receiving federal accreditation. Christians should be attending seminaries in order to learn about the bible- not to receive bachelor's degrees.

Responding positively to the light that you have been given.
In the sense of a biblical world view. There are less people going to church, as prophecy of the last days speaks to. It is a sign of the times. It is not a failure of the church, in fact, the word of God is now at our finger tips and can be shipped straight to your door. We are told to not condemn gathering, but neither are we told to condemn the scripture based solo christian at home. Which there are a lot of regardless of church attendance.

There are many mysteries in the bible. For example, did predators like scorpions or vultures or sharks exist back then? Did animals die back then? Maybe animals did die, and only humans were meant to live forever.
Science proves it is our 24 hrs. Summer more day light hrs. We have hotter days. Winter has shorter day light hrs. We have colder days. Slower rotation means more concentrated light means more heat. How hot can life tolerate the heat.
So if God wanted to light a fire on day one he would be able to see it...since when do you need the sun and stars to have light...they produce light, because light was created on day one...
God is an all consuming fire, and eternal light, pure and Holy and your thoughts are not His thoughts and His ways cannot be comprehend.

True. Light and darkness exist independent of light. If I turn off all the lights in my house, so that it is completely dark, that doesn't mean that light doesn't exist anymore.

If the pretrib literal interpretation is wrong just be patient. The very most possible date for the 6,000 year mark is 2033. Just receive Christ in case time is truly that short. If we’re wrong you’ll have millions of years to smear it in our face! I think deep down people see revelation and the prophetic books coming to life right in front of them and instead of repenting they are rebelling just like the days of Noah and the days of Lot.
