The Pulsar PGD105TiSCO is a versatile inverter generator that can operate on gasoline, propane, or natural gas. When running on gasoline, it provides a running wattage of 8,500W and a peak wattage of 10,500W. When using propane, it offers 8,000 rated watts and 9,500 peak watts. Natural gas operation generates 6,800W of rated wattage and 8,400W of starting wattage. This inverter generator stands out as one of the largest models currently available in the market.
It is also parallel capable, allowing it to be connected to a similar or compatible unit (parallel kit not included) for increased power output. The generator features a noise level of 62 dBA, slightly louder than background music, and is equipped with a manual recoil starter system, an electric starter (battery included), and a key fob for remote starting.
With a 6.9-gallon fuel tank, the PGD105TiSCO can run for approximately 9 hours at 50% load on a full gasoline tank, with a fuel consumption rate of about 0.77 GPH. When running on propane, it can operate for around 4.5 hours based on a 20-lb tank, with a propane consumption rate of approximately 1.04 GPH.
Featuring a clean sine wave with a 3% Total Harmonic Distortion (THD), this inverter generator is safe for powering sensitive electronics through its AC outlets.

I bought the Pulsar9500w. Between The Genmax9000 and Pulsar9500 (same with the 10500w tri fuel generators) I went with Pulsar since it offered a 3 year warranty. Although these warranties have to be tested, a 3year is better than 90 days or 1 year warranty. Also the Pulsar has a pressurized oil system which pumps oil through the strainer. I called support and they sent me an exploded drawing of the engine/powerhead which shows the oil pump assembly. At least its in the design drawings, as to the oil flow path, I can't speak to that as it's not detailed. Anyway I'm happy with my choice and the generators performance so far. Main purchase is for emergency backup power only.
I bought this mainly because it is quite and I couldn't be happier. This is probably the quietest inverter generator I found. I live in a townhouse community and some of my neighbors came to see my generator in action.
It's about time, Trifuel AND Inverter together!
GenMAX released similar last year. it's about 2800 bucks.
All your generator content has been great to watch. Alot of good info on every model you have reviewed. Well done!
Thank you.
Thank you sir truly appreciate it. Thanks for watching.✅👍🏾
Thanks, for getting back so quick. Gavin
I Plumbed this generator into our natural gas line for the house (added a quick connect and valve) and it got its first workout a few days ago when a neighbor’s tree branch took out power for 9 hours. It took me 5 mins to roll out of the garage and to plug into our gas line and a 50 amp outlet I had installed next to our main panel, and ran the whole house with ease. We have 3 refrigerator freezers and did a load of wash and never came close to 50% load. Many of our neighbors have stand by generators but due to permitting requirements in CA that would have run in excess of $20k for our house. Our set up with this versatile and feature rich generator cost me $3,200 all-in, including hiring an electrician to install the 50 amp outlet. I purchased it on Walmart’s site and bought their extended warranty as well. It runs smoothly and quietly on both Natural gas and propane.
Congratulations for keeping your family safe by having a plan. Well done.🥳🥳😎👍🏾
Thanks for the info. What is your house WC (psi). The manufacturer claims 13.8 WC (0.5 psi) need to run it.
@@mesfinbelay8134 I’m not sure but it’s enough to run it without issues. We had another 5 hour outage this weekend and again it started and ran flawlessly. I’ve also run it for an hour or two during the break-in period from a 20lb propane tank, and again it started and ran like a champ.
@@GeneratorReviews I really appreciate your channel and thorough reviews. Your work was very helpful in my decision to purchase two different size Pulsars for both my Truck camper and our whole home setup in the last year.
@@mesfinbelay8134PG&E says WC is 7” or 1/4 PSIG.
Wonderful looking information screen with a lot of detail. I like this Pulsar that the side cover is only has three screws to access the wire to connect the battery. After many years of generators with a pull start, it would be nice to have one with a push start.
Very nice! These inverter tri fuel generators are game changers.
I wonder what the count on number of different brands and models of inverter generators is? So many great choices these days. Thanks for letting us know what is out there!
I bought a Dual Fuel Model# PG4500BISRCO , hope someday we will move soon, so I can unbox it and try it, Liked#6 N Subscribed~~~
Why can't you try it before moving ?
@@Powerpickle68 Becuase we live in a stupid Condo, so it will stay in our storage in our building and be able to move soon, we are trying like crazy to find a new rental to move back to Maine, as my Wife has a job transfer and this ecconomy sucks!!! Its a chalenge to weed through the Scammers to find a real rental unit....Later we are going to buy land to buld on...
Looks good. Drop it off at my house when you get done with it. 😁😁
Perfect 👍🏾 even better come pick it up 😅
Thanks for another excellent video
Looks like a winner.
When GenMax come out with their Vtwin inverter hopefully you will show that one as well thanks.
I will have that one next week
@@GeneratorReviews Ah sweet!!!!
How does this compare to the Genmax gm10500ietc? It looks like the exact same generator just a different color and different control panel.
I will try my best and compare them.
@@GeneratorReviews Any compare review for Genmax vs Pulsar 10500w on natural gas?
It is the same Generator as the Genmax 10500 without the battery charge connector on the front panel
So you would have to take the panel off to separately charge your battery with a maintenance charger in this one?
It also has a battery maintenance feature
Looks just like the Genmax 10500 trifuel that use to be sold on Amazon.
Wonder why they stopped selling it. Looks like it's still available other places like Wellbots. This one is about 500 cheaper.
It’s still available on my website.
I wonder why it's not being sold on Amazon kinda weird
This generator is out of stock everywhere!
Lowe's has it for 2175.97
Does it need a transfer switch to be connected to the house’s breaker box?
You can install a 50 amp inlet box
I just ordered the Genmax 10500iETC as I couldn't get enough of your videos of it. I see this Pulsar looks identical to that one except for the color. Now I wonder which one is better, and cheaper. Any advice?
From what I've read, Pulsar comes with 3-year warranty and GenMax only 1-year.
Nice genny and great review. Both Amazon and Home Depot are offering this unit for $200 less than you however.
I wish I had Amazon’s deep pockets
Do you think this generator can be stored in a shed during cold winter months?
I think that should be possible.
You said in another video the generator only needs 35,000 BTU's to run/operate. That seems kind of low. Are you sure it's not 135,000? Also can the 1/2" gas connection on the generator be changed to 3/4" ? If so do you sell this part?
I’m sure 👍🏾
@@GeneratorReviews That's really good news. Were you able to check weather the 1/2" connection can be changed to a 3/4" connection? It looks like it can by using an adapter. I feel funny asking you all these questions but do you think it is durable enough to be kept in a generator shed in cold winter months?
Another great unboxing. Thanks Gavin!!! Oh, FIRST COMMENT!!!
Yessir 👍🏾✅
Does it make a loud knock noise when powering off?
No I’ve never heard that before
My last name is Gavin. which generator would you buy the Pulsar or the genmax?
Thanks and have a great day.
That’s cool😊
The Pulsar and the Genmax 10500 pretty much the same generator the Genmax is floating neutral Pulsar is bonded neutral.
Generator-superstore.com check out my website. You can call me if you need to chat.
Hey Gavin, please review some low rpm diesel air cooled gen sets. For off grid backup, they are the cat’s pajamas
Ok 👍🏾 I will look into it
On the Propane Connection, is that quick connect provided, i thought it was a Screw on Connection? if you are using a connection can you tell me which one you went with please
It comes in the box with the connector for the house also
@@GeneratorReviews Can the 1/2" connection on the generator be changed to 3/4"? If so do you sell one?
Thanks. How long do you run it to seat the rings before changing the oil?
I change my oil in the first hour and then my break-in is completely done in the next 4 hours of use.
I don't know why they don't install quick disconnect captive screws on the access panels like Honda does.
Hey Gavin. Love the channel. I just purchased this but can't figure out how to convert it to a floating neutral. I emailed the company but they don't seem sure either and have had me try 2 different things, neither of which worked. Have you tired doing that yet?
I’m working on video right now on how to convert to floating
What is a floating neutral? A transfer switch comes with all the hot and neutral wires for each circuit.
I see in the near future a melting rear grill where the exhaust is misaligned.....
This or the genmax 10500 trifuel? hmm. That oil strain looks pretty hard to get to.
How wide is it? Can you turn the fuel off to drain the carburetor?
Yes, you can turn the fuel off to drain the carburetor
what do you recommend the Pulsar or GenMax?
I like them both. They were both built by Genmax.
What parallel kit can you use to hook two of these up? Does it matter?
Yes,It has to Support 240V
Any idea when the GenMax 17500 tri fuel is releasing?
17,000 tri fuel is probably a year away. I will be reviewing the Gas model this week.
Interested in this generator but not sure if it’s better than the Duromax 11000i or the 9500i generator. I want one of the three. Plan on using as my home standby with 120/240.
If you’re looking for this on I have 3 in stock
Im right there with you.... Im between Duromax 11000i, this Pulsar and Westinghouse iGen11000DFc. I wish Honda made a 11k watts quiet inverter gen and I would be done with the search. Good luck
@@kylehill4437 You can buy a new Suburban for the price you would pay for a Honda with this setup!!
Would this gen be able to run your 5 ton a/c? Thanks.
Yes
Do you made the load test?
Test video coming soon
@@GeneratorReviews i would like to know if i can use with 5tons AC using NG
Want to buy, but can't find. Help?
I should have this one in stock in one week check my website out

Gavin... you never did a load test video on the pulsar 9500... if you have one and some time that would be appreciated :-)
Sorry customer bought the unit from my store before I was able to review it.
i'm french, i can't buy it, too bad
Sorry buddy
