This has massively advanced my sight reading skill, dexterity and pedal mechanics and it just keeps you motivated to play everyday, since its so satisfying to play... i can really recommend it.

In 7th grade when I came upon this song, I really wanted to play it. It’s just that back then, my fingers weren’t that long, and I wasn’t that skilled in sight reading as I am today. In 9th grade, I did a little bit of the first three songs, but it wasn’t that good, and it sounded choppy. Now I’m in 10th, going on to 11th grade, and I feel pretty confident to do this medley. 4 days ago, I started playing, and now I’m able to play The Black Pearl, Moonlight Serenade, He’s a pirate, Davy Jones, and Up is Down. The last part of One Day is troubling me, and the last part of Drink me hearties (I probably got that title wrong sorry) is also a bit hard. Btw, this isn’t just a 45 min practice everyday, but 2 hour+ marathons that I’ve been running these past few days. This just comes to show that practicing everyday really makes a difference in piano skill. On another note, if anyone else has completed playing this song, can you give me some tips? Thanks a lot

I absolutely love this piece. Finally got rid of all the kinks in playing it. Favorite part to play is definitely the first occurance of “He’s a Pirate.” But dude, those arpeggios at the end are absolutely insane. Took me about 2 weeks just for that part haha. Great medley though.

if you take the midi file and put it into a program called musescore, it will generate a sheet that is exactly the same for you.
