#10 BBQ place wasn't smother with BBQ sauce on the beef brisket, I love it...

I had the brisket for another time a few days after I filmed this, and it was good, but VERY fatty. Maybe my home town just has better barbeque, but I swear back beat queue was much less fatty last year and had much more mouthwatering food.
Either that, or it’s just been outshone by farmhouse kitchen and grill, lol
I’m not gonna say there’s no bias in my viewpoint. There always is a little bit.
But I’m glad you love it! And I hope others see your comment and try it!

I honestly preferred the pizza at Corral to Hugo’s. Hugo’s was too centered around dough. It would’ve been good but there’s so much rough and it doesn’t taste good. Corral had the regular slice that was great compared to the six flags pizza that I got used to

I would hope you give Miss Keats another try, sounds like they were having growing pains. Always great for us. Also, Backbeat bbq would likely accommodate you if you asked for no sauce. Great video, thanks.

I agree with most the list except Hugo’s. We went there the 2nd most this season, but didn’t enjoy the pizza. The piadia and raviolis are great but it’s not a lot of food. My kids wanted to move away to wagon wheel mostly and then coral when we found it was the same pizza.
Also the corral pizza seems near identical to wagon wheel so we rate that equally for the pizza.
Backbeatque used to be our #1 last year but we only went a couple times this year because initially they didn’t have pulled pork anymore. I think the mac and cheese also changed because my kids didn’t like it anymore.
Something you didn’t mention probably because it’s at the water park is Crystal rock cafe. That was our 2nd favorite after farmhouse. They had shrimp skewers that were awesome. And the mac and cheese was the best in the park. They also had burnt ends and other stuff that looked good but we always got the shrimp.
Anyway enjoyed the list and definitely agree farmhouse is king. I am really optimistic about the grand pavilion and what they will have next year.

I miss the Midway Market! It was great all you could eat & offered very good food & variety. I didn't like Hugo's at all. Probably because my mom was Italian & I ate authentic Italian food & sauce. Love the food at the Farmhouse Grill, but the portions in 2023 are fit for a baby.

Ah! Been waiting on this one forever.
Honestly, I think Hugo’s and Farmhouse are the best on property and Backbeat and Perkins are the worst. Coasters is an underrated gem and I'm super mixed on Melt. I still have quite a few to try though like Tomo and Bay Harbor. I have big hopes for those.

1st Place Miskeets Steak Burrito Bowl and indoor seating. Most filling in the park also. I like sitting at the Farmhouse if I get Chik-fil-A or Wagon Wheel Pizza. Coasters Fried Chicken Sandwhich was good. Didn't eat at the other places this season. The lines were so long a couple weeks ago (and it wasn't a Sat) I'm glad I packed a Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwhich.
Of Note: Last season 1st Place Stockades' Blackjack BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger. They got rid of it for some sort of veggie monstrosity. The brisket in Miskeets was excellent when they first had a few season's ago prior to BackBeat BBQ. When they served it there it's been terrible. Hugo's is good but was more fun & susbstantial when it was the International smorgasbord all-you-can-eat buffet of Midway Market.

Ok I'll try not to make my comment to long.
First off want to say that although I disagree with your list, i still respect it and the review of each place is pretty spot on. Except for one which is Hugo's. The pizza there is gross. The something in the sauce is taste off and always kind of taste doughy or mushy. The cheesy bread side wasn't to bad and I haven't tried the pasta options. Might be because I hated the pizza so much.
Johnny Rockets used to be great especially when they had the dancing servers but its usually closed during the week and only open on weekends.
Melts, I haven't eaten at and I'm sure its good or ok but I've refused to go there because I'm still a little upset that they closed Joe Cools Cafe.
I noticed you didn't have The Mac Shack on your list. Every time I have gone this past season, it was closed. I've have yet to see it open. That is one my brother refuses to go to because his favorite place was Pinks.
    My top 3 would be
    3) Coasters
    2) BackBeatQue
    1) Farmhouse Kitchen
Panda would be #1 for me but since I can get it just about anywhere outside the park is the reason it's not in my top 3.
Sorry for the long comment. I enjoy the content and keep up the great work!

I disagree with MissKeat Smokehouse being so low, it's definitely top 5 and on-par with Hank's/Enrique's (now) at Kings Island. Same concept and one thing I love about MissKeat Smokehouse is the enormous dining area and ability to do work on my laptop with free CP wifi from the back corner in there. And its own bathroom inside. It's one of my go to places. Of course I've done the gamut many times over at CP, KI, MichAdventure, SFGAmerica, SFFT, SFOT, WoF, Silver Dollar City, and other parks.

Hugo was my least favorite restaurant till my last visit on the last Op. Day this year It went up drastically. When Hugo first opened, it really bugged my stomach, and would make me either sick or put me inside the raptor toilets next door, as I have Acid reflects from getting heartburn easily, and something with the seasoning bothered me. However, I went and got pizza Oct. 30, and it was great, so was the lemon sponge cake.

      @SVeillance Рік тому +1

Ok, this isn’t scientific or exact but lets say average meal price is $15, CF food cost would be $5. At $150, I would say you need to eat 30+ meals during the season to break even. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the honest and thorough restaurant reviews. Cedar Point has never been known for good food. The exception is Bay Harbor, which sets just outside the park. The food quality, presentation, and service at BH is far better than anything you’ll find inside the park (you’ll pay more for it too of course). When I was at the park a couple of weekends ago, you couldn’t get near even the worst places on your list due to the massive crowds.

MY RANKINGS: [I only include meal plan friendly options, so something like Melt doesn't qualify. I don't take my wallet into amusement parks; that is a strict religion of mine.]
    1) Chickies and Petes (excellent meal plan options, great indoor experience)
    2) Boardwalk (haven't tried it yet, but meal plan options and experience look great)
    3) Cedar Farmhouse (it is outside, but steak, and located near Maverick and SteVe)
    4) Hugo's (solid Italian food options not just pizza, full indoor experience)
    5) Miss Keat's Smokehouse (Chipotle fare, full indoor experience unlike KI Enrique's)
    6) BackBeatQue (it is outside, but solid barbecue and located near waterpark and TTD2)
    7) Panda Express (don't know how much longer it'll last, but it is the only Asian in CP)
Really, nothing else qualifies. I'm a healthy eater and don't eat junk food like fries, greasy burgers, greasy fried chicken-flavored tenders, greasy pizza, etc. Occasionally I'll get a corn dog with a spare meal late in the night from Happy Friar, and ask them to skip the fries because I don't eat fries. I'm a meal plan maestro as well. I'm the kind of 30-year-old ritualistic enthusiast customer that deep down inside theme park finance leadership people hate with a passion.

Wagon wheel pizza is DEFINITELY THE BEST PIZZA IN THE PARK!!! Strictly based on taste, flavor, and quality Wagon Wheel is in another league then Hugo's pizza! As far as Hugo's.... I've had it a handful of times... The calzones and strombolis are ok in a pinch, i don't recommend it but it's not the worst! That's about as good as Hugo's gets unfortunately! The pizza has no flavor and is pretty bad microwave pizza! As far as the pasta, they usually do like a fresh prepared, made in front of you chicken alfredo or some kind of tomato based rigatoni and it looks DELICIOUS but don't let that fool you, they DO NOT know how to use seasoning it is bland, and the flavors are WAY off! So if anyone is Italian or simply a lover of Italian food (FULL DISCLOSURE MY MATERNAL GRANDPARENTS WERE BORN IN SICILY) then this place is definitely not for you/us You may even find it insulting
