Cheers man! Aye! That was the plan to do a tasting and a re-cap! Looking forward to trying what Lorien brings to the table! They certainly smelt great in the kettle!
Cheers for the positive comments! On it! Took a gravity reading yesterday and it was down to 1.008 with so signs of fermentation! The Lallemand Köln yeast is a beast!
Love the brewery setup! Be sure to post the finished space at some point - taps and all! If you ever start recording regularly, posting a tasting video would be cool!
Thanks mate! Appreciated! Yea that’s the plan, to be fair I can’t believe we are firing up to the point I published the video and Iv not done any others, time has just ran away with me at work so literally no time to film a brew day. Will correct asap.
Nice One! Cologne is not that far away so i can always enjoy some fresh Kölsch every now and then. Maybe try an Altbier next, its the local rival from Düsseldorf .
Nice video! I am using my B80 combined as a standalone and a boil kettle for my herms setup myself. Saved me some space in the brewery to get rid of my old boil kettle. Love your brewery locaction. Looking forward to see the finished result some time in the future
Cheers man! Aye - I have a couple of 30 Gal kettles that I need to get converted to be honest, money is a little tight here in the UK at the moment so seems a massive waste hah but it is a dream to use as a boil kettle - wish BT would do some stand alone cheaper kettles or control panels to suit! You can catch some of my beer stuff on Insta too along with my other hobbies @doorstepbrewing
Looking forward to the tasting video now. Few years back I brewed lots of Kolsch as I intimidated by lagers. I kinda drifted away from it but it became one of my favourite styles.
@@DoorstepBrewing not got tickets yet, haven’t planned much for this year as not sure how much time I’ll have with the taproom etc. Are you guys going again?
Mate you’ve smashed it there for your first video! And almost 1000 views already, insane. Welcome to UA-cam, nice to see you on here as well as Instagram
Fantastic video and what a great looking brew space. You’ve got me inspired to schedule a Kolsch in a few weeks to get ready for Spring.
Hello good sharing myfriend...keep it good work
Really enjoyed the video and that brewery setup looks great!
Such a great space for a brewery! Thanks for sharing. : )
Love the building mate. Great brew set up. I know how much time those old buildings take up, keep plugging away......
Great first video mate, we demand more! Starting with a tasting vid for this beer so we can find out what those new hops brought to the party cheers!

Quality first video fella, Kolsch sounds great with that new hop too. Well done keep em coming👍🏻🍻

It’s a long time since Iv been to Düsseldorf, 2011 to be exact, had a great time drinking in the Alt breweries! It’s another great style!
Great video! Hello from Canada. :)
Hello back! 👋🏻
Absolutely amazing. Very jealous of that setup, although in all honesty I'd get lost with all the pumps and pipework! Can't wait to see more.
Had exactly the same thoughts. I managed to fill my sparge water heater on Sunday with the tap open so I’d be a nightmare with that fantastic set up 😂
Great video, nice setup and i love your choice of music… bullfest
