I don't have a tattoo, but the one person who surprised me in getting a tattoo: my mom. She was neutral toward tattoos like she didn't care if you had one or not, but she never seemed like she would ever get one. That was until the death of Prince. My mom loves 80s music, but she really loved Prince. So one day, she came with Prince's symbol on her ankle. It looked really cool and I'm glad she got a tattoo that she wanted to commemorate her favorite singer.
It's funny to think that it's a trope for Christian (and Christian adjacent) people don't do tattoos or piercings and my mother got me and my sisters' ears pierced when we were very young and she has quite a few tattoos. Her parents have been working at a church for 30+ years at this point as well. I am planning on getting tattooed soon, and i probably will want a ton.
i used to get temp tatts (b/c i'm a low commitment type of person) but i might go back to that b/c i've seen some people with some hand tattoos and they looked so dope to me
since your worried about the pain, theres a few creams you can buy that when you apply will numb the area for a bit. i used "signature tattoo numbing cream" when getting my first tattoo and felt virtually no pain. just apply it about an hour before you start and wrap it in saran wrap in the meantime to help it absorb into the skin better
I don’t have any tattoos but because of how high younger people tattoo regret is I’ve been picking up meaningful tattoos and leaving the more ambitious hobby tattoo ideas for when I’m middle aged, I want a remembrance tattoo for my first one
Am I the only person who went to church and didn’t hate tattoos growing up? And my parents are cool with tattoos, they both have tattoos. My dad has 6 and my mom has 1 (although she’s considering getting another one). My dad says I shouldn’t get a tattoo if I don’t think I could handle the pain. But other than that they’re very supportive lol.
? Maybe my comment was removed for some reason? Edit:Long story short,I wanted a tattoo when I first turned 25 I just turned 26 a few days ago, but my mom was worried about the tattoo studio and a health violation instead of the design. It was correlation vs causation about health and tattoos. Anyways my aunt said I could get one when I move out, since I still live with my parents. This is proven difficult.
