Yea I used to main him when he first came out and only play him to make people rage quit I think he’s not viable because his stats don’t mix well with his weapons and they still need to patch his 2 part digs so many of them drop his side sig not held breaks down sig also drops. Also if you wanna make people to rage quit just spam side sig with scythe bakcdashside sig is kinda hard to punish and if you hit it once and then slide charge side sit off stage they will usually die with axe spam side sig and that’s genuinely broken

I would want a guide on what movement options to get into the habit of using, safe options and behaviors to use more, and the like. You can look up or even lab standard weapon combos, but the habits and less-thought-of behaviors and mixups are needed to really boost elo to the next rank bmg will release in 2024
Some good options I've noticed: Pretend your HC going for the weapon/gadget ALWAYS dodge a different direction [easier said than done, i personally tend to dodge up] [Dodge away/down offstage is guaranteed safe, unless your opponent is a mad lad]
yeah i think it's a hard stat to balance around for a fighting game, it would make sense in things like FPS games where your reload time could decrease or something but when 1f changes make the difference between top tier and useless it's a hard thing to balance around

Xull cannon nsig also has an alternative version When you throw it out quickly it sends the opponent diagonally upwards but when you hold it the sig sends him away horizontally.

Make the weapon guides focused on the mindset needed for each weapon. There are tons of guides of basic combos but focusing on what a certain weapon is fishing for in different common scenarios would give it much more depth. e.g. what to look for/avoid with orb offstage, onstage, in the air, etc.
I think you should make some movement, approaching, dodge aad read guides also. If you want to make guide videos of course I don't want to sound like "do it" :D. It would be much more helpful than weapon guides in my opinion. Because there are not many movement tutorials on youtube. Thanks for the good videos.
Maybe people won't watch the entire guide if it's too long, but if you separate it in specific parts and put the timestamps in the comments, then they'll watch the parts they need to learn. And if they feel like they're lacking in other things then they'll come back to watch the other parts, once they feel like they improved, they're gonna keep coming back and watching different parts, so it could work that way (obviously, only if the guide works for them)
i maine’s volkov for a season and he’s surprisingly op i never knew it but the way you can bait someone into his sigs is not okay his scythe sigs cover a fuck ton of dodges he’s actually insane
i think it is his weapon combo, people who play scythe usually also play things like bow guns or sword or something stringy, but axe players tend to like heavier weapons like hammer (im a teros main) lance or maybe gauntlets (the heaviest string weapon) so i think for a lot of people who dont play super consistently or maybe dont branch out on their weapons wont know what their doing, i for one just recently started learning spear but i dont know at all what im doing with a scythe or guns
I'm still a lowly gold, but my buddy mained Volkov for a long while in our couch party games and I can say with certainty that Volkov's sigs pose a much stronger spam threat than most characters because of his versatility and quickness.
I have been maining him and Mordex for 8 months now, and he is highly underrated. His sigs are super good in quite a decent amount of situations, and his weapon combo is great. I hope people pick him up more.
I know I'm late to the vid, but I personally ADORE Volkov because of how much priority he has over every situation. I noticed I didn't see him much in experimental and even less so in ranked so I gave him a shot and oh my goodness he was actually cracked. Even with recent axe nerfs, he still kills. He's also seriously good in both ranked 1s and 2s so I really don't understand why nobody plays him. I feel like one of the biggest reasons I love him so much is because I played Koji and often hold my side sigs a little to throw of dodges and get the enemy to dash into my side sigs, and Volkov has VERY powerful held sigs. Well, thats my take. Cya whoever spent time reading lol.
as a volkov main what held me back was his stats and the meta where scythe isnt the best and the proof is when i switched to onyx that has canon which is meta and better stats i gained 200 elo over my peak (i am now 1880)
Lvl 74 volkov main here, the worst part about volkov is how the stats work with the weapons, high dex on scythe is ok cuz nair sair, but 8 is streching it, other than that, low damage axe, low speed scythe, dex doesn’t do anything on axe, etc, it just feels like there are better options if you wanna play the weapons because of the stats. The sigs though hooolyyt they are insane
