    It's so embarrassing that something so easy to adjust in any other software is suddenly so stupidly complicated in this software.

      Yep. In Maya you just hold D and V to snap to a point and you are DONE. Houdini is a shit modeling tool for anything other than procedural stuff. Just kidding! Right click the transform and select pivot mode, or shift + " , or insert key will do the trick. This tutorial really should have covered this, but he gave a great way to do it with exact numbers.
