This is why I said I would buy Dalton's song and still go to his concerts because EVERY TIME he sings his songs there is something different. I like all three for different reasons. The bands finals performance for me was his triumphant return after winning the Xfactor. For me, he showed that he has a new song, that his voice has improved, and that he is a composite performer. With respect to the video, it felt SOULFUL and I could feel the pain and loss. In this acoustic version, it is stripped down, you hear DALTON in his vocal glory and VERSATILITY, which makes me want more, an acapella version?. For me, he opens his mouth and GOLD pours out each and every time. He is a musical chameleon, a musical GENIOUS, he is DALTON HARRIS - SIMPLY THE BEST.

Hello PW. Thank you for this reaction. I always love hearing the stripped-down version of a song. It’s a more intimate feel and you can image being right there in the studio with the musicians. I agree with your emphasis on Dalton’s skill level in performing this song. He makes it sound so fluid and easy on the ears while employing such technique. Then again, technique on it’s own is weak without other elements like musicianship, emotion, presence - and Dalton brings the whole package. He is a complete artist and this performance is world class. I also enjoy the way the guitar builds and adds variety right along with Dalton, while not interrupting the overall feel. It’s a perfect complement to Dalton’s singing. (Not sure why this is called “acoustic” though! :)). You speak to exactly what I heard from him, and especially on his performance of Life on Mars during the competition, that drew me in in a way that few artists, like Celine, Whitney, and a short list of others, who have not only the vocal ability to reach notes like no other, but to “in the moment” have a place in their being that takes your mind to a place you would never have thought of going in a million years, and it leaves you literally breathless while they have done it with ease. I have never, and I do mean never in my lifetime fallen head over heals in love with the whole artist and artistry of another being. I have to remind myself that he is actually human and back up not to idolize him. But I do love him. I am thankful that I am old enough to be his grandmother and can respect and appreciate his gifts. I think like you that we are all “in”, waiting for the next course in a meal we never wish to finish because each dish is just more delicious and we never are too full!!

Because of him, I have written my own original song called: "21 months" which is about my bullying story. my singing account on instagram is: @jas_.sings. it would be really nice to have a UA-camr like you witness my singing talent.
