hey just to let you know Eskimo is sometimes considered offensive among Yupik and Inuit people as the term means "eaters of raw meat" in a more or less derogatory way just letting u know :)
His "disappearance" on February 13th was the day he was descending Denali. There were high winds, it was -50F, and the weather made spotting him impossible. It's likely that he was running out of fuel, and due to Uemura's reputation, no one wanted to possibly offend him by sending a search party. On Feb 20th the weather cleared and Uemura and his previous camp on the mountain at 16,600 feet were nowhere to be found. Another storm came around and by Feb 26 it cleared, allowing two experienced climbers to search for him. All that was found was a diary saying that he had to leave some gear behind to lighten the load (Naomi Uemura Wikipedia). Calling it a "disappearance" with almost no context makes it seem like we have no idea where he went, but there's no question that he died on that mountain. The most likely two theories on *how* he exactly died are that (1) he fell when descending the headwall, died there (or at least hurt himself badly), then got buried by snow, or (2) he made it to the base of the headwall but then fell into one of the many crevasses.
It's kinda infuriating to see they didn't send help because of his reputation and left him to die... However i think disrupt should make a video about this
@@sergioabrb nah you go out on these expeditions there's risk that comes with it and you cant always expect your going to get a rescue if things go wrong. the fault lies on him. he knew what he was doing.

this content is so underrated. keep up the good work man.
great episode dude. One of the best I've seen from you!
having influence with the title of the video with the little poll from yesterday made me want to watch the video even more
i wish more creators would do so
Possibly the best video he has made.
Thanks for another high quality video
Man there's nothing like your narration
Time for another disrupt video. If i get interrupted, that person will pay for what they did... one does not interrupt a peraon watching a Disrupt video.
Seriously your videos border a national geographic documentary.
Such a pleasure as always🖤
