Great video. I would try to cover you license plate for just to give yourself privacy. Also I just installed some trunk lights on my chr that go on the hatch for more lighting in the trunk space. They have them on ebay and Amazon for the rav4 too. Just a suggestion

Good vid but I noticed, and its been mentioned in other areas, that the lights, including the brake lights, are dimmer. I compared your before and after and I see the difference.
I want the added illumination but I want the same brightness still.
They are nice quick diy that makes the rear light more functional
I did the same and noticed the same issue. You don’t want your tail lights to become dimmer. That’s counter productive. I think it’s because it’s an Amazon kit not a more authentic brand.
How many pins does your connector attached to the brake lights have? Mine has three but the wiring harness has four. Could that be the reason why the inner lights won't light up when the brake is pressed?
What are those harness that you put in the sides for? Seems it is just an extension of the existing wire connection.

Your left inside tailout was not lighting up at the end of the video 10:23- looks like u added an extension to the plug that’s it
It’s lightning up, it’s just being blocked by my hatch ladder
I did install one on my rav4 hybrid and I am pretty sure I did it right but how come the inner light don’t come on or illuminates when braking. Only the outer brake lights that will illuminates fully. Is the short harnesses on the sides can be installed interchangeably or needs specific to be installed on the right or left?
They can be installed either side, just double check that the harness inside the side panels are fully seated.
Where did you connect the other end of the short harness in the side and what is that for?
It shows on the video, but it is to power on the lights when the brake is activated
I had an issue of pre-collision malfunction/visit the dealer after installing this. I did everything to solve the problem to avoid visiting the dealer but ended up uninstalling it to solve the issue. Any advice on how not to have this issue if I install it back again.
That’s weird, there is no where near it is connected to the pre collision stuff, i never got that issue on mine at all.

@@Dev-op7kn found the solution, the dome works with ground, so take a negative from dome and positive from battery.
