I own this and the 12". Bang for the buck is amazing. Battery life is INSANE. Perfect for busking. Enjoyed the video. Singer not great, but she was light and fun. Thanks for taking the time to do the video.
It was so loud when we filmed at the canal by Kings Cross that it drowned out the sound if a train passing over a nearby bridge. The filming was on volume 1. When Jess busked after at Kings Cross you could clearly hear the sound right across the Piazza as far as the street. Even the police who popped over to take a look were impressed.
Yeah, it's a 7 amps per hour battery @ 12 volts. Watts = amps X volts = 7 X 12 = 84 watts for one hour (efficiencies notwithstanding) I guess QTX solved the over-unity problem 🤣😂 Cool lady and I love buskers in general (but I need to have a word with you about that Tracy Chapman song, it can be soooo much better if you can handle it in F# (barre) because you can include the bass-line which is important in this case) 👍 P.S. Wattage means nothing. If you want to relate to how loud a speaker is; it's the SPL (sound pressure level) value in decibels.
Thanks for the comment, will pass onto Jess later in the week when we catch up. Her new single Miss Misandrists Misdemeanours is available to stream open.spotify.com/artist/6X6wVEUVGROHfiPLhXCtP9
The 500W figure came from the data sheet supplied with the review copy but you are correct that the amp is 100 Watt RMS split 50W (HF) + 50W (LF). On location when filming it was flippin loud although you would not want to crank it up to full volume as there is noticeable distortion.

I found if you push the speaker rather than pull it, it works fine :)
The QR series is quite old but still good I must say the QX series is better
Once the weather is better will look at some alternative kit to test drive
