Some people might scoff at the idea of saving time on a 2 minute task, but you hit the nail on the head - it's more about removing impediments of "just doing it" that most of us experience. It's the mental blocks that keep us from being as efficient and organized as we aspire to be.
People who don't understand how big of a deal it is to make cleanup and setup easier probably only sit on their ass all day. Anyone who uses any kind of tools knows how big a deal it is to have something like a pressure washer ready to go at all times without any setup.
Great setup! I'd make one small change, if you don't mind the advice. Swap your Y splitter for one that has valves. This way you can turn off the feed to your flex hose which will keep it from constantly being under pressure.
You can save even more time by upgrading to a 1/4 turn hose bib. You’ll never go back to a full turn style again. Great video Adam! Keep doing what you do!
At first I didn't think this was going to be something that was worth it, but after seeing how easy it was to set up you changed my mind. I'm in the final stages of finishing my new house and may just have to add this to my garage. I like your modular set up much better than the all in one option. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice set up! Yes you've shaved a little bit of time but I think the greater value comes from the ease of use. That means it gets used more which means you're taking care of equipment, tools, etc. My only concern is that electric outlet below possible leaks or spray.
Pressure washer quick connects were a godsend when I discovered them. No more plastic hose wrangling for the standard warehouse club Honda motor pressure washer. Foam cannon, not so much, as you still need to wash the vehicle completely with a rag, but everything is now quick connect - garden hose high pressure hose.
Many great points to consider, Good job. On the Builder Brigade channel. He has mentioned that they are seeing new home builders including hot water spigots next to the cold water spigots on back patios and decks as well as in some garages for "d.I.Y." customers Like yourself. Looking forward to your next presentation.
Adam great job with the install. One suggestion would be to put in a tee in the pex instead of the "Y" fitting on the hose bib. Off the tee go to a threaded brass ball valve. Thread on a pex to thread fitting on one side and thread to brass garden hose connector on the other. This will isolate the pressure washer run so you can use the regular hose while working on the pressure washer. It will also eliminate water going up to pressure washer when using the regular garden hose especially since garden hose fittings can be leaky.
Great job Adam. I'd recommend a handheld pressure sprayer with traffic film remover to prespray equipment before pressure washing. It makes removing any dirt do much easier
Thanks Adam. I had a 1 1/2" PVC pipe through the wall right behind My wall Mounted Air hose reel with a Cap on the outside. When I needed Air outside, I'd just stick the hose out. no tangling or opening the big door. To wind up, I'd just lay out the Hose on the Driveway and wind it in. Mike M.
Nice rig! I have been thinking about doing something similar for a while. Now that you have perfected it, I will just have the parts available for your assembly when you visit! 🤘😎
I’ll tell ya what. I’ll build you a wall mounted pressure washer if you put rear remotes and top and tilt kit on my tractor lol. Seems like a fair trade right
Good looking setup, Adam. I was glad to see that you bought the Uberflex hose… those are awesome and FAR superior to the standard hose that comes with any brand of pressure washer. The quick connects are a must, too. Since you’re keep the gas powered pressure washer (good idea), I highly recommend upgrading the hose for that unit to the Uberflex. 👍🇺🇸
Excellent, I appreciate the time and care you put into this video! This looks like something I can readily duplicate and comfortably use. Many thanks! Stay well, stay safe!
I've had this exact idea for a long time. Now you that thave done all the leg work and provided the links, I think I'm going to get after it. Thanks for sharing.
Two minutes doesn’t seem like a lot, but it’s a mental block. When there’s “stupid” little stuff that inconveniences you it makes it hard to even wanna do it lol
Thanks for the video! I just went online and the Ryobi "1900" psi pressure washer was on sale for $99 I purchased like you to compliment my gas powered pressure washer.
Adam, thank you for sharing. The Giraffe model, when I 1st saw it I loved it. Much appreciate you doing your homework to find out that one can not simply replace a component when it breaks. It is niw off my wish list and will take your suggestion to build your own which comes with easily replaceable part. Good Job Sir...
Great idea! I think if i were to do this, i would install the pressure washer above the hose reel in case there was a leak, it wouldnt leak on the pump.
That's a cool build! Now I am debating buying another pressure washer. I need one at the house and one at the shop, which I currently roll over there. I DON'T use my current one because it's such a hassle to move and hook up. You got my wheels spinning.
Yea what’s two mins, two mins is huge because it’s the fact you want to do it! There’s times when your busy and it’s so easy and quick that you don’t make an excuse not to !
Great idea!!! No more dealing with the tangled mess of power cord and garden hose I’m looking to do something similar. I want to put my power washer in my basement and just be able to go outside and plug in the high pressure line but I can’t find a wall mount quick disconnect to mount to my foundation Any ideas would be appreciated
Be careful with that expanding hose! They breakdown over time and I had one explode and the force of it smashed a clay pot to bits that we had a small ornamental tree planted in. I got rid of all of mine immediately after I saw that. Fortunately I was around the corner when it happened!
Hey Adam ! What a GREAT idea! Having just used my electric pressure washer to clean sidewalks and driveway! You are right , the cord &hose are constantly twisting & getting tangled, & set up is a pain! Thanks for a great idea! What did your set up cost to make??
i dont really like pex at the rated size one needs. I am an irrigation tech, and I see 3/4 pex line all the time feeding systems. People will then see 3/4 inch line and base their GPM off 3/4 copper line. the GPM is noticeably less. I will always upsize if someone wants pex. Ill run 3/4" instead of 1/2" 1" instead of 3/4.
Did doing this conversion increase the ramp down time of your pressure washer. I just did this using an Amazon basic air hose reel and I have a greenworks 1800 that ramps down for like 2 seconds with thud at the end.
Hey does that pressure washer have enough power to remove heavy mud off the 4 wheeler ? I want to build a system like yours but wasn't sure If the little electric pressure washer would have enough power to remove heavy Mudd from my 4 wheeler
Hey Adam, watching this vid again as I have birthday & Father’s Day cash to use and want something a bit easier than the portable pressure washer. 2 Q’s. Do you still recommend all the modulars & does the PSI of the Ryobi match the 3100 psi of my Generac?
Yes I still recommend everything. Nothing has broken yet, and no. The Ryobi only puts out like 2000 psi or something. So not as powerful but still a lot better than a garden hose. It does everything I need it to
Isnt the air hose swivel only rated to about 300psi? That's usualy the weak link in the system as an air hose short of wear and tear on the actual air hose.
Is the outlet you're using on a GFCI breaker or protected by an upstream GFCI outlet? I'd expect it probably is as that's been required since at least the 2020 NEC requirements. But if not, a $15 receptacle replacement beats the hell out of getting lit up by a leak spraying onto the outlet :)
I’m retired now so I don’t have my past code books but from memory GFCI protection in garages and out buildings has been in the NEC since the late 70s.
I see 1:19:59 turns in 2 min but 18:78 seconds is 20 seconds. So reality you saved about a minute on putting it away. But you also did not convert what you had to a wall mount, you bought a new one and converted that to a wall mount.😮😮😮
Yeah but now you need to spend a few thousand dollars on a driveway skirt or maybe there's a solution there too. An alternative to concrete skirt design might make a viral video.
honestly think that was a waste of time, because after you got done with the new set up, you could have saved yourself time with the gas setup and money. .. Everything could have stay connected with the gas pressure washer as well ...

Extremely well said. I agree 100%.
Great setup! I'd make one small change, if you don't mind the advice. Swap your Y splitter for one that has valves. This way you can turn off the feed to your flex hose which will keep it from constantly being under pressure.
Great idea!!!
Your getting closer to how Doug does things by improving what you have to make it work for you. He's a big influence on you. Stay safe.
You can save even more time by upgrading to a 1/4 turn hose bib. You’ll never go back to a full turn style again. Great video Adam! Keep doing what you do!
11 secs vs 2 mins is such a huge difference! Great video!

I can relate. Any time you make something easy you will be more inclined to do it. Just human nature. Nice little project!

Love reusing the existing holes! Makes it easier to take a chance on setting this whole thing up. Love it.
That turned out nice. Waaaaay more user friendly.
Adam, it looks like Doug is rubbing off on you. This is exactly the type of thing that he would do. Good job. Bill H from Cranberry Township
Fixing it yourself and modular was my take away from this! Nice setup!

@@HometownAcres Ha, deal! Have fun towing that trailer all the way here!
I want to do this in my garage. I’m in the infancy stage so far. Great video

Adam and the times are considering a fuel pressure washer, for an electric you’ll have to add the cable!! Thanks for sharing
I've had this exact idea for a long time. Now you that thave done all the leg work and provided the links, I think I'm going to get after it. Thanks for sharing.
I agree Adam 👍, love your modular design better and easier to service.
2 videos in a row without a pond update? Dude. Still a good video as always. 🙂
Next video will be a pond video
*Hometown Acres* Bravo well done, thank-you sir for taking the time to show us how it's done. GOD Bless.

Good Job Sir...
I smell neighbor Doug in this idea.
What a great idea , I also find time consuming to pull out the pressure washer set up !
My next project 👍
Great setup! Its all about efficiency ;)
I have a sense of "Doug-involvement"..... ha ha ha GOOD JOB, Adam, that looks like a very good idea, time-saving wise !!!
Great idea! I think if i were to do this, i would install the pressure washer above the hose reel in case there was a leak, it wouldnt leak on the pump.
I totally relate to not wanting to pull it out one more time at the end of a 10 hour working outside day
Nice… I think I will replace the PITA stock hose and wand on my washer for now. 👍
Be careful about freezing with the electric pressure washer many of them trap some water inside the pump.
Garage is heated
That's a cool build! Now I am debating buying another pressure washer. I need one at the house and one at the shop, which I currently roll over there. I DON'T use my current one because it's such a hassle to move and hook up.

Saving time pressure washing skip this video - Not so fast my friend!! Great video

Definitely a sweet set up my man! Hope to one day do the same for quick attachment rinsing!
You’ll love it if you do
You have been hanging around Doug to much 😂😂
Great idea. I want an electric pw for my new home garage. For quick stuff when you dont meed to fool with gas-powered set up all the time
Nice job
Great setup Adam!! Thanks for sharing!
You are going to be Dougified ! I would do the same awesome setup cheers Adam 👍🔥🇨🇦
Fricken so sweet! Awesome job!!

Always a time/money trade off. Wanna save time, gotta spend money. Wanna save money, gotta spend time.
Looks like a solution in search of a problem.
Be careful with that expanding hose! They breakdown over time and I had one explode and the force of it smashed a clay pot to bits that we had a small ornamental tree planted in. I got rid of all of mine immediately after I saw that. Fortunately I was around the corner when it happened!
Thats a wonderful idea i will be doing that one day
Great idea , Adam!
Amazing setup, thanks
Nice, very efficient!
Pretty cool idea Adam. Great video
Very slick idea!
Nice job!!!
Awesome job!
Thank you for sharing!
Great idea.
Great idea!!!
I did a similar setup. After a few minths the gasket in the winder started to leak. No replacement options. Moved onto coxreel
Nice job 👍🏻
Hey Adam ! What a GREAT idea! Having just used my electric pressure washer to clean sidewalks and driveway! You are right , the cord &hose are constantly twisting & getting tangled, & set up is a pain! Thanks for a great idea! What did your set up cost to make??
Nice set up. But that psi washer wouldn't have enough psi for me.
i dont really like pex at the rated size one needs. I am an irrigation tech, and I see 3/4 pex line all the time feeding systems. 8:52 Looks like you had a drop sitting under one of the connections above the Ryobi.
I've never had good luck with the quick connects. Seems they always leaked.
Good improvement. Do you take your pressure washer inside for winter?
Garage has infloor heat. Leave it up year round
Did doing this conversion increase the ramp down time of your pressure washer. I just did this using an Amazon basic air hose reel and I have a greenworks 1800 that ramps down for like 2 seconds with thud at the end.
Foam cannon u need and turbo nozzle heavy
I have both

How is the pond doing
Repairs started yesterday. Video will be out shortly
How about if you mount the house reel sideways so it reels straight out towards outside and not down. Or do the make one that can pivot?
not gonna blow up the air reel, from it supposed to be handling 300psi an pressure washers start at like 2000 psi?
Isnt the air hose swivel only rated to about 300psi? That's usualy the weak link in the system as an air hose short of wear and tear on the actual air hose.
I use Grandfalls Pressure Washer
My only question is will the air hose piece that allows the hose to spin withstand 1800 psi?
I’ll keep you updated
How well does it clean versus a gas powered pressure washer? Does it take longer to pressure wash?
Yes it does but for just cleaning equipment it’ll do fine
Great idea Adam👍 Hows the pond coming along?
We are underway. Next video will be on pond work
Hows it holding up after a year? I'm considering doing this
Still works. No leaks yet. I use it atleast once a week if not more

Steak dinner
What do you need to do to winterize it. It is on an outside wall after all despite the garage being heated.
Garage is very well insulated and none of the water lines are in the wall they are all on the interior of the wall covering in the heated space
Adam are you going to get a foam attachment like the Morgan's have? He did a segment about it on his UA-cam channel.
I have one
Mike was way late to the party on that one.
I see 1:19:59 turns in 2 min but 18:78 seconds is 20 seconds. So reality you saved about a minute on putting it away. But you also did not convert what you had to a wall mount, you bought a new one and converted that to a wall mount.😮😮😮
L I K E 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍🤩 🤩 🤩 🤩 🥰🥰
If you make it convenient to use you will be more likely to use it.
I think that spend money just for few seconds or spend a low amount of money in gas for me doesn’t make any sense for me
Yeah but now you need to spend a few thousand dollars on a driveway skirt or maybe there's a solution there too. An alternative to concrete skirt design might make a viral video.
honestly think that was a waste of time, because after you got done with the new set up, you could have saved yourself time with the gas setup and money. .. Everything could have stay connected with the gas pressure washer as well ...

No offense, but there has got to be a better neighb... ahem I mean way
Dont support Giraffe brand its complete cramp.
Nice job!
