Are 3D Printed Surfboards the Future? Interview with Blueprint Surf

I decided to 3D printed another surfboard, I was inspired after seeing some pics and video from Blueprint Surf. In this video I connect and interview Mike and Luke from Blueprint Surf and talk surfing and 3D printing. They are a company that is starting to sell 3D printed surfboards after 2 years or R&D.

Hey Andrew, I just want to thank you man for what you are doing with this channel.
I’m 60 years old and injured badly at work which cut my almost 50 year career in Welding/ Fabrication. I body boarded heavily in the 90’s and 2000’s until work and family took me away from the surf. Now, we are searching for our forever beach home on the coast of Oregon or Washington. My beach shack will enjoy a huge multi-functional shop where I can do my thing forever. I love building anything, and surfboards are going to a big part of it. Your lessons are very valuable to me, so thank you!

maybe it could be covered in a stretch material then a non-elastic skin so if the top skin rips it is still waterproof

I have a question regarding the fiberglass. Is it placed directly on the 3D printed skeleton? If yes, is it possible that the fiberglass bends inside the "holes"? Is necessary to prevent it somehow?
