Hello Rae, It takes about 4 years or longer to grow hair from shoulder to waist length hair depending on ages and health concerns. First it takes following the 8-10 biblical laws of health. Simple styles, minimal products, ditching artificial hair, combs and brushes. I also do not detangle my hair while it is wet. It is at its weakest while it is wet. When you think about it using common sense, did your hair break like that while it was blow out, straighten and or relaxed? I am inspired by the women of Chad, Indian indigenous women of color around the world. They wear their natural hair in braids leave it in for up to a month. My hair is 4a in the crown and 4b everywhere else. I am normal across the board, density, porosity, width. The skinny band you first band put the hair on your nape and edges get caught and causes breakage. So been there done that. I am over what 30 plus years natural now. I trim my hair once a year max. Don’t apply heat, minimal breakage, don’t manipulate often so no to have it cut more than that. I wash my hair in 10 braids at the roots twisted ends. Then I would deep condition, moisturize, next day when it dry I would detangle it and then rebraid roots twist ends and leave my hair alone for a month up to three months. Clean my scalp with water and body glove weekly. Moisturize my hair once a week. You can click on my photo. My hair is not short. My hair length can be seen on UA-cam and I give hair advice to women around the world. Nice to see another Adventist hair UA-camr. You are the third or fourth I have come across.
I would detangle the hair. You can use an oil when detangling to help with the build up. Work in smaller section when shampooing and use a clarifying shampoo. 😊😊😊
Your hair is still Beautiful. I absolutely love your hair texture. Please post more videos. I love watching you💕
Thank you! Will do!

Welcome back sis
Thanks
Do you have any tips for getting out all of that braid buildup that forms at the root of the braid please?
