My uncles are union contractors in Corona. As a kiddo they told me this story before I went on the ride. They weren't the type to scare, or torture me for kicks, the were honest, and wanted me to know the truth in case I heard stories about it with half truths from others. My aunt also worked at Disneyland as Tinker Bell, she was Mini Mouse at 1st then Tinker Bell quit. Because my 20 year old aunt was under 5 foot, petite, blond, and fairy 🧚🏼♀️like naturally. Disney transferred her to tinkered and she was forced to fly via wife off of the Matterhorn each night or be fired. She is sincerely terrified of heights. After a few weeks she quit and started telling us about the multiple lore and true stories shared with her by the older cast members. Some of them were fired when management found out the revealed a certain hidden truth. These are cast members that had worked there 25 plus years instantly fired. I was terrified of that scene and 3 others of the ride. I enjoyed the ride until those 4 areas. I couldn't look up at them, and literally would feel sick in my stomach, colder, the hairs on my arms would stand up. I'd close my eyes and be frozen in fear as we passed. My Uncle would grab me tightly. They didn't need to tell me when we passed, all of a sudden the feelings would evaporate, I could move, and open my eyes. Belive me or not, it's your choice. I will say As an adult when I go back with my kiddos or friends I still have that involuntary response at 2 scenes in the ride.
