Thanks for helping my friend Brandon and Beth out. As I'm sure you already know, they are great people.
What a beautiful tree. I hate seeing these fall after storms and whatnot, but if they do, the roots have an issue most likely. Neighbors helping neighbors is what keeps our small communities cheap and viable to live in. Keep up the good work!
Good morning Brock. I've said it before and I'll say it again, "You're a good man Brock." I haven't commented lately because all of the tractor videos and comparisons are way out of my pay grade. But, these are the videos that I love. A good man helping a neighbor because he can. I'm quite sure that sometime many decades from now there will be a special place in heaven with your own parking space. God bless and have a wonderful day. 👍👍🙂
Great video Brock. Spot on safety assessment. People get so much in a hurry to get a job done and they do not take the time to step back and look at the whole picture and what if's. Taking the time to think through the hazards and putting the plan to action afterwards always has a better outcome than rushing just to get something done. It's also a great feeling when you can share your equipment and time to help others out.
A giant tree giving it's life for great youtube content. R.I.P. Big Tree.
I was saddened to see this tree down, it was my favorite one on my property. It always framed out foggy morning pictures really well, too.
Not to long ago I heard about a man and his dog that went out to deal with a root ball like this. He started cutting from the top of the tree and the root ball fell back into its hole... only one of them returned :(
Complacency is no joke when it comes to these kind of jobs... great job explaining the hazards to folks that might not be experienced in this task, as well as resisting the temptation to use that backhoe arm propped up against the root ball to hold it while you cut.
favorite tractor youtube channel!
Thanks
Helping neighbors is one of the best rewards. Keep up the good work. I really enjoy how real your channel is.
Good video Brock!
Brock, nice job helping out the neighbors. That root ball is massive. Glad you took the time to make sure your safe and creating a safe work environment.
Nice work Brock
Hi Brock, thanks for helping your neighbor, very nice of you. That root ball was GINORMOUS my goodness! Yes please stay safe. The brush cutter is amazing it cuts stuff like it's nothing. Thanks for sharing
May the lord bless and protect you
Great neighbor! 1 Danger to avoid, is having the tree "roll" if you take too much weight off 1 side vs. the other. Having it roll away from you can result in you getting hit from below vs. having it roll over onto you.
The root ball is still attached to some degree at the hinge point, which reduces the chances of rolling (not eliminate, that is an assumption that can be fatal.) The roll direction is a huge risk and a factor that we discussed for a good while with the chainsaws off. Walking around the tree and deciding where the center of gravity is doesn't translate well to an entertaining video, but it sure happened. :)
Thank you Brock I love the helping neighbor videos!
It’s alway so surprising how long it takes to “process” a whole tree!! Best, - J. Andre. / Old Iron Acres
As I always say… when you got all the moves… you just can’t lose ! Great job ! Looking forward to the second part . Also… can the tracksteer brush cutter be fitted with forward wheels? To sort of help from gouging the ground?
Absolutely a great job assessing and methodically making the work area safe !
Great content thanks
You got a good start on it, and everybody got to go home. What more could you ask?
From my standpoint Brock, you did a really good job assessing the danger component of this blow over. So many ways that tree could kill a man by just charging in there with a chain saw. Those blow overs can be a big wound up spring just waiting for a fool with a chainsaw. Looking forward to part 2. You neighbor is a smart man for calling for help.
Thanks
you are good of a neighbor to help him out good job
I wish we were neighbors Brock. Good job.
Imagine the cost to rent the equipment to remove the tree if you don't have the equipment. Nice work.
Let alone the cost of the arborist crew they would send out to do this job. You'd be paying for 2 men to work and another 2 to stare at their cell phones.
Howdy Brock! As my dad would say... "There is a lot of firewood there" lol. What a massive tree. Slow and easy wins the race. Good job sizing up the situation and attacking the problem. Thanks for sharing 🤠
Great job Brock! Yes safety first.
Thanks
7:00 let's go Brandon!
I assume you got a new mic? Sounds great
Get that mini skid and grapple in there, although if you have to turn much it will tear the grass up some - when you have a load in the grapple you can lift it 1/2 to 3/4 high and that help turning without tearing (in case you didn’t already know that 👍🏻)
Don’t part with the skid steer Brock, it’s got many uses.
Being careful may take longer but it makes sure you are around to do it next time.
Morning
Mornin'
What kind of tree is that Brock ?

He said elm
Audio sounds different. Or your voice changed lol
I miss the days when people just helped out and that was good enough. We never grabbed our phones or cameras to show our good deeds. They spoke for themselves. Society has gotten so 5 minutes of fame thirsty. Old school, just do it and go about your life. You can call me negative and all that bs but bottom line , what I said is the truth.
You have left 1000 comments on my videos over the last four years and only 994 of them were negative so I think that is a good balance
If I was watching videos from a creator and I disliked almost everything that they did, then I would probably just not watch them anymore
There are literally millions of channels on UA-cam. Do you dislike all of those other channels more than you dislike mine?
I miss the days when people weren’t cynical about everything and followed the simple rule that if you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all
