This is my all time fav song. I stopped playing the banjo over 10 years ago and am just picking it up again.. I have been playing guitar for over 50 years now... Wagon Wheel and your site and way of teaching brought me back. Thank you so very much. You are the best teacher.
I just got a banjo last year. His lessons made some songs I thought I'd never learn feel possible. I just learned Jed Clampett thanks to this wonderful man!
Hey Will! Great lesson. It’s great to see a piece that adds some bluegrass banjo flourish to a straightforward chord pattern. So glad to have found your channel.
So glad i stumbled upon your site. I am a guitarist first but want to learn enough banjo to make it a second instrument to perform. You are so great for teaching and providing these lessons and the tabs for free. You are one of the best teachers on youtube!
Thank you for posting your videos I have learned so much from you living in the Uk Banjo books are hard to find here Great to you , you love this instrument and want to help other to learn great songs Once again Thank you so much xx
Thanks for this, Bill, you are easily the best banjo teacher on the 'net! And if you ever get to England, there is NO WAY you are going to buy your own drinks!!
Amazing lesson! I was jamming yesterday and they started doing wagon wheel. I didn't officially know so I just did some basic rolls over the chords; but next time I'll be prepared!
Hey Bill, I love your tutorials. Only been playing the banjo since March and I'm already impressing my friends and it's all thanks to you! So happy to see one of my favorite songs of all time on here :)
another great lesson, long before I got myself a 5 string I heard a guy performing this tune outside the boot store in Nashville, so with your lessons hopefully I will get it :D
Thanks Bill, you have given me (all who comes here actually) so much material to work on. I have become a better Banjo picker (and now a guitar picker as I just picked up a Taylor, PF420). All your videos for stringed instruments are like gold!!
Little known fact: our favorite banjo teacher is in a band called Clark Family Trio. In the beginning it was a quartet (same name though) and Bill is the only one not named Clark. Now it's a trio and he's still the only one not named Clark :-) He is a heckuva guitar player too.
It does seem a little difficult to nail down into a solo recognizable banjo version but no matter, the melody is very enjoyable and a good one for beginners to practice to build movement and finger coordination. Or ... Just kick bacon the porch with a cool refreshment and play enjoying it.
Hey Will! Loved this lesson. I'm about 2.5 Months in my banjo playing and I'm obsessed. Loved this song arrangement. Quick question, is this what I would play throughout the song or just the chorus? If not what would you suggest for the rest? Thanks I'm advance, really appreciate it! 👍👍🪕

@@williamanesbitt I second @TheKale! I had a long break from playing - your generosity of sharing brought me back! So, so, incredibly grateful!!!
The clarity of this demonstration inspires me to pick up my banjo instead of my guitar tonight, and really give this a serious try....THANK YOU!
I've played it in a group with an accordian, guitar, saw, mandolin, and me on violin. Probably the best way to enjoy wagon wheel in my opinion.

Hey sir thanks for the great lesson that you give .I was wanting to make a request for a lesson on how to play silver eagle please.
Really good, thanks for the lesson!
I learnt so much of this guy simple to follow big thumbs up just wondering wat thump pick you use and were to get one thanks
Thanks so much for this. Do we play this through the entire song or Is this just for the chorus?
Verse and chorus are the same in this song.
@@williamanesbitt thank youso much 😊

At the beginning of the 7th measure (at 7:27 into the video) the tab says "T-S". Should that be a "T-H"? You perform a hammer-on instead of a slide.
You are awesome what brand bango do you play I’m looking to upgrade from a fender concert tone to maybe a rk35 or gold tone 150ob
A shade faster? Music tempo described by color intensity? Poetry Bill. Nice banjo piece.
I'm also a visual artist so sometimes I mix my metaphors.
I felt the 420 part
Thank you! Your videa Are super🤗🤗🤗
thank... friend
Thank you man! Has anybody these tabs on a sheet? :-)
check his website littlerockbanjo.com
thank...
WOW, very impressive
Is there anyway to get a tab sheet?

Yeah go to Spbgma and start playing wagon wheel no one in bluegrass likes wagon wheel just a bad song
Not everyone likes cabbage either some are just cabbage heads
Got the whole screen to put a section and chooses to put 1 bar at a time. Ugh useless lesson, but good lick to look up the tab elsewhere
