Wonderful WHS Class of '88. Thank you for filming those memoires. Chris Takonis living in Knoxville TN. Folks still live on Harding Street by Washington School. Joe DeRubis just was here this weekend his dad is Timmy from the Elm Deli. We were WHS 1988 Class
I lived in Westfield from March, 1972 - June, 1975. It was a great place to be a kid and was one of the three happiest times of my life. Thank you so much for posting this video.
Fantastic video. My Dad owned Classic Studio. Originally located on South Ave. he moved to Broad across from Lincoln Federal Savings. He was very involved in Westfield Chamber of Commerce. Great to see his studio (long gone) among the other stores downtown. Thank you for sharing this video.
Wow! This is amazing! The traffic cops, I remember that guy down by the Rialto, he was all business with the orange gloves. Music Staff, Hills, my first bank book bank account at Lincoln Federal, it’s amazing how “small town” 1987-Westfield looks.
I loved the tour. I remember it all. Nothing changed much since I lived there from '68 to '74. I was excited to see the Colonial Chorus window front. My dad sang with that Chorus and we were always going to their shows. The policeman directing traffic oh my gosh what a trip back in time. Westfield was so awesome back in the day. Thanks!
I worked at New Norris Chevrolet as my first dealership job until just before they closed. Phenomenal family run establishment. Great team working together and most of the clientele was all people from town you knew. Was always a pleasure to be in Westfield.
I wish Westfield was like this again. I live here, and have lived here my entire life, and I am currently 16. I hate the modern-day Westfield with all those bad stores and empty shops. Now, they are tearing down the free-standing buildings and replacing them with apartment buildings. What if we want to open other businesses like a new limo service or a new car dealership. What if they build too many apartments and the taxes and rents skyrocket. Then, my beautiful home town will turn into a ghetto ghost town.
Thank you for posting this. I was in Westfield at this time and went through the school system there. I was hoping to see a familiar face but no luck :)
Crazy how it's now been 37 years and it really hasn't changed much at all, a few different stores but the overall appearance remains the same.
WOW. I graduated from WHS the same year as this video (1987) left and never came back. This is _exactly_ how I remember it.
I grew up there from 68 to 97. Miss it alot. If it wasn't so expensive now, I'd live to go back 'home'.

This was from a pre-corporate era of downtown. Thanks for sharing!

My sister worked at Lincoln Federal Savings
The Robert Treat Deli and Bagel Chateau!!! Best ever!!! Worked in Westfield Center for nearly 30 years - I wish it was still the same....
Thank you for this. I grow up in Westfield in the 60s and 70s and remember all of this.
Worked at chez catherine 85-88. Good times.

ちょうどこの頃~90年代前半までWestfield に住んでいたので本当に懐かしいです。アップしてくださりありがとうございます🙏🏼
Was KB toys there in 1987? I remember that store being there on broad St back in the 90's.

Great Video. Even the music from the car takes me back to that time.
This says "part I". Will there be a part 2 available at some point? I'd love to see more....
I lived there (I was born in 76), it makes “Make America Great Again” make perfect sense.
Is there a part 2? Love this!
I used to eat at Ferarro’s all the time.✌️
Police Academy 4 "Citizens on Patrol" is my favorite Police Academy. I seen it when it came out.....
It's literally the same just different cars lol
No traffic.
Who else spotted the 85 Buick Century T-Type ?? 2:29
some stores are still here which is so funny
This is back before downtown Westfield became "corporate" and just before the "yuppies" took over.
Great video, remember pedestrians crossing omg are running and being honked at. Walk, Don’t walk just run.
Mr. Floyd Bean directing traffic I think
Yes it is! RIP Floyd...
Legendary!❤️
There are so many 3rd gen f bodies in this video wtf
Damn clear ass footage lol
