  • In this video we take a close up look at the Strindberg Boden 6 electric guitar. I also provide a professionally recorded sound demo at the end of the video. This guitar has intrigued me for quite some time, and I finally got my hands on one to demo. The first thing that caught my attention (no not the unique Endura neck or fan frets) ... it was the incredible light weight of this guitar. I swear this this must only weight about 5-6 pound max. It is very easy and inspiring to play, and getting used to the fan frets was really quiet easy. In fact, it didn't feel unusual at all. The guitar practically plays itself. The price for this Korean made guitar is a little steep at around $2200 US dollars new. On The used market they command around $1300-1600. Currently this one is available at Sam Ash Music for $1599.99. I have to say, I was very impressed with this guitar and I feel as though at some point in the future I will most definitely be adding on to my collection. I hope you enjoy the video. Strandberg makes really nice guitars. They’re also a great company to work with as far as customer/artist relationships. Would love one of these!

I'm very impressed with this guitar. That's great to hear about the company. Sounds like PRS in a way. Nice people and a great work environment.

Hi Marty interesting guitar, kind of expected you to discuss after playing for a bit? Worth the money for the neck and frets?

I was gonna chat a little but I really didn't know what to say. Haha. I still think they're kinda high priced ... but geez... it plays so amazing. And it's comfortable to play and is spot on for intonation. Beautiful tone... and the more I look at it, I think it looks great. But man... $1600 used. I don't know why I'm so caught up on that price point. I guess because you can get some hot Solar guitars as well as LTD's for half that price. With more options etc. I kinda wish it had a trem as well. Just a little pricey for a Korean made guitar. But hey. ... they gotta pay their employees and the world is expensive these days. I get it. It's a great guitar. Hands down.

@@Ranch5150SkinWalker as always Marty thanks for taking the time to reply. I know it's ridiculous but I don't think i could ever get with a headless guitar. For me they make me think of New Wave posers lol. Guess I'm just a dinosaur. Love the chanel keep up the good work. 👍

It sounds GREAT! I go back and forth on the Strandbergs. I really like the design, and I was fortunate enough to play one once. That neck takes some getting used to, not in a bad way, it's great but a little different. I'd love to have one someday but like you said, 2100 is mega for a Korean guitar. I have zero issues with them, as I have several Ibanez, a few of the older Jackson PS series, and I think a couple of LTD from there. Maybe even an old Squier. Korea makes excellent guitars that play above their price point, but still I'd want it to be made in Sweden for that. Or wherever the company of manufacture is actually based. Like the US if it were a Fender, Jackson or Gibson, Japan for an Ibanez, etc. Still, I'll probably eventually get one.

Excellent sound and playing Marty! not a fan of the look of the guitar unless you play some guitars side by side with same presets on the fractal and amps and it sounds drastically different, I probably wouldn't buy one for myself especially with the price tag.

There’s a little “fret zero” by the headstock. Can you actually put your finger there to play a note sharp to the first fret?
