I always keep charcoal pills on hand. Take them as soon as I think I might have eaten something bad. They are a life saver. Glad you are okay. Yes, I've had food poisoning. Scared of getting it again! Dire!
Glad you recovered in time. The loss of electrolytes so rapidly can cause added problems. Thanks for those useful tips that come in handy when quickly needed and also to the hospital staff.
I had food poison first time from hooters in Louisiana a pulled over in Florida got out of the semi I fell on the shoulder and crawled to the grass and let it rip and vomit same time then my partner threw a roll of paper I crawled up the steps in the truck he helped me in the truck he delivered the load and then parked at a truck stop, I woke up I'm like I feel better I said you ready to go eat lol I said he's ate for 3 days in like huh said I slept for 3 days. Couple years later it happened again I knew to look for a place to park and call dispatch for a driver come get my trailer. You learn how to deal with things on the road, pay attention to symptoms what's going on that gives you heads up on what to do. But glad your better 😊
I've had good poisoning quite a few times. I also have a medical condition that I dehydrate easy & messes with the signals to arteries and heart. I've ended up in the hospital a couple times from it. It stinks but your Dr is right. It can become serious. It's hard when you are exploding from both ends and can't even stuck on ice without triggering more. Then just being upright triggers more. OMG the worst! I'm glad you have recovered. I highly digest LMNT electrolyte powder packs to have on hand. Just in case you need a big dose of electrolyte.
Thanks for your comment, that sounds like an awful medical condition. I'm sorry to hear that you've been there too. I've stocked up on the electrolyte packet too. Blessings to you! :-)
I prefer to carry “Re-Lyte” from Redmond Salt (Utah) to be able to mix electrolyte formula when needed. This could be used for hydration in hot weather or illness.
Yes, indeed. Food poisoning is definitely awful. I've had it a few times but not to the point of hospitalization. Glad you are over that. And you are right - medical people are truly a God send.
Hi there, thanks for watching. I'm sorry to hear you've had food poisoning too. No fun but a big shout out to medical personnel. Blessings to you too! :-)
I'm so sorry you were sick. Autumn everyone has a van but you have a unique comfortable home. I don't think we need another van vlog. It's like you stated.....it's not that big a deal to move. You will get faster the more you do it. I have driven 26 ft moving trucks and used to rent them so I had to get efficient real fast. Once you jump in .... cautiously....your confidence will build. Get plenty of rest!
Hi there! Thanks for your comment and encouragement about moving the rig. It is a wonderful thing to learn and navigate. I appreciate your comment. Blessings! :-)
are you going to convert the closet space into the bathroom/shower again. Get the water tanks and water system working . and in the meantime A portable Boxio sink [that has fresh and grey water tanks - 1 gallon each . and a boxio toilet that separates urine from poop--they provide pebbles and bags for you when you buy them. You should make it officially a home away from home. your house is so beautiful. i m so inspired to get an rv motorhome😊 I am glad you are feeling better. You know what to help prevent food poisoning and constant shopping then spoiled food or expired foods----stock up on emergency freeze dried packaged foods they have a 25 year shelf life and you can use them as you need them and not worry about them spoiling. meats, fruits, veggies, dairy products and grains besides just add water /liquids ready made meals. it really helps😘 get some rest too. Another thing for fresh water from a 5 gallon jug buy yourself a saganlife water filtration system that filters tap water so you can drink, cook, wash $50 some odd dollars---you can use it and just buy the filters after so many uses -----they remove most bacterias and viruses save on bottled spring water expense by filtering tap water......www.saganlife.com
Hey Autumn I am so sorry you got Food poisoning, I have been there and done that years ago, and you don't ever forget it lol. We have lived in 2 different RV's, we park hosted for years. But now we just want to travel and are living in a 36 ft Wildwood. So we decided to park God's Blessing (her name) in a RV park so we have a home base in case things get crazy in the world, but then just travel in our Truck. The Rv park is only $400 a month so its pretty awesome, plus we have neighbors that watch out for our home while we are gone and we do the same for them... its a Awesome Life!!
Oh Autumn! I can’t imagine. I have had food poisoning seven times in my life. Twice I was hospitalized and the last time I almost lost my colon. I, like you, am very careful about eating out now. If I am in doubt, at home, I throw it out. At a restaurant? I don’t eat it after the first bite that tastes off or if it smells off. I am glad you are better! Never hesitate to get help!!! It can save your life or even certain organs of digestion. Love your channel!
I am so sorry for your experience, but glad you are able now to reflect upon it and continue moving toward the life you want. I recently made a move to where I want to be for the rest of my life. I am much older than you and realized I did not want to live the rest of my days where I was. It was a hard move, but so freeing. It was certainly the right move. I enjoy your adventures and your thoughts. You encourage me to be the best I can be.
Thank goodness you are doing well. Good seeing you smiling and doing what makes you happy. Take great care of yourself and big hugs to you and Chloe. Enjoy your time with your friend. ❤😊
Hi there! I really like your videos. And I admire you for starting your independent freedom lifestyle with your car.😮 🚗 And then gradually gaining knowledge and momentum as you go through the process. And finally graduating to your RV. That's really Awesome!! 😎👍
Just found your channel from the Bob Wells interview. Beautiful reno. I'm so confused though about your driver seat being on the right and not the left side of the car and RV. Are you in a different country? Just curious and wondering if I'm going crazy.
Hi there, thanks for watching, and welcome! In some of my older footage I used the mirror camera option on my phone so that I could see what I was filming - but this made everything look reversed. Several months ago I learned there was an option to turn off the reverse feature - so my newer videos don't show things backwards. :-)
Hi Autumn! Sorry you had food poisoning, i had it once and it is really horrible!. Thats bad you have to pay for hospital, we have free healthcare in oz. Half an hour is pretty good for being able to roll, i have to prep for nearly two hrs before i can travel. So glad your dilemma was food poisoning and not somthing more serious or sinister. Another great vid and update. Hope things are warming up there for you now and spring is in the air. Love your RV!, its an apartment on wheels! Keep Shining! Bye Chloe!
Wow. I’ve never had food poisoning. I am so sorry. I’m glad that you went to the hospital and got hydrated. Enjoy your friend from Europe until next time. Have a great week.
Hi Autumn, sorry to hear you were really sick but glad to hear your ok! I had some sudden heath issues that took me by surprise but has made me appreciate health care! Congrats on your new RV - you've done a beatufiul job! I hear ya about the large cities..I avoid them like the plague! All the best on your travels! 💖
Hi there, thanks for watching. I'm sorry to hear about your sudden health issues. It's alarming and unsettling when these things occur. I Hope you are well now. Thank you for the kind comment.
Yes many moons ago I had food poisoning from something I ate at a dinner on the military base. I forget where but food poisoning ain't no joke, I feel your pain.
Having sticks and bricks and going on vacation is a really task too. Pack your suitecase, clean the refrigerator, leave your house decent, look for someone to water the plants, look for a safe place for yout pet..... Having your home with you is so much easier, I think. Everything has it's own challenges. I hope you recoverd well from your food poisoning. Bye from the Netherlands 🙋
Thanks for watching and for your comment. My brother helped me out with Chloe. He picked her up from the RV and cared for her while I was in the hospital.
Hi there! Thanks for watching - I rarely head to Cali these days, not the most nomad friendly place, ironically... at least along the coast. I hope that your build is going well! Blessings! :-)
Sorry to hear you were so very sick. Good to hear your recovering well. I was wondering what you did with your sweet doggo while you were hospitalised?
Thanks so much. :-) I initially thought it was food poisoning, but it turns out it was an allergy to powered dairy products... the stuff on white cheddar cheese its, and Doritos, etc. :-( Won't ever be eating those again.
Hi Autumn & Chloe. I'm so sorry for your food poisoning, and I'm glad you have the appropriate resources to care for your well-being and you're okay now. As one of my many hobbies/interests I studied a bit about food safety, and even got certified in food safety some time ago. I don't want to scare you or be negative here (it's against my nature), but our food industries/sources need improvement. P.S. it was not caused by your young age. I'm glad to know that, if you need, you have loved one a phone call away to help and be there for you. Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay happy! Everything else is manageable! Pops
Hi Pops! I hear you on the dangers of food safety. It's alarming. And, inspiring to avoid eating out at quick places - which caused the issue. How cool that you've dabbled in this area - I bet that is both valuable and disturbing information. Hope you are well! Blessings to you. :-)
