Martia: I create ambiences with original music. My favorite genre is fantasy, but I sometimes venture into sci-fi, horror, history, or plain (but beautiful) natural settings.
I am heavily inspired by books, as I am a total bookworm, by PC games and DnD which my husband loves and talks about. I love long cross-country hikes, that feel like a huge adventure and you can see it in the number of traveling ambiences I produce 😀

You know what I appreciate about this? If you have on a good pair of headphones, you can actually hear the sound of the moisture in the wood whistling as it burns off. That's one of my favorite parts of a fire, and you captured it. Mad props my friend.

@@carolynlewis9008 Sorry my friend I'm just now seeing this. I only use Klipsch for my speakers, and Skullcandy for my headphones. I use Skullcandy's Crusher headphones. They're Bluetooth and go over the ear, with a built-in subwoofer. Affordable, and great quality. If you get them I hope you enjoy!

Genuinely beautiful. I like the soft piano music. Perhaps for a moment it made me think about how it would feel to be in an old manor and then suddenly hear piano music in the distance. There'd be a sudden shock as you realized what you were hearing, and then perhaps you'd feel compelled to investigate further.

As the tall doors to the chamber fell open, the music from the piano echoed through the high ceilinged chamber along with the sizzling of the coals beneath her. He stood at the entrance motionless as his lady of the evening moved elegantly around the marked section of their bed chamber.
She wished what she saw in his eyes for her were love, she truly did. Her feet spoke to the music notes in the air as she danced on and on. She danced on and on, her form never quivering even as she had to battle to maintain her face; the heat burning through her delicate skin. She was made to dance but even she had not been taught precedently to dance on burning coals.
He stood at the entrance of the room anesthetized by her sentiments for him; the root of which ran deeper than any blade or flame could ever pull out. The glow from the coals licked through her flesh almost lazily, as if knowing this lover would not run away too soon. Her grace showed even as she felt herself burning. She danced like she’d been taught to, smiling every time her eyes met her lover’s even across the shadows on his face. She had enough practice of dancing from a young age; brought up to be loved but never held during the day.
He would not jump in to save her. She knew that too well. The beloved emperor could not afford to get deep burns or the empire could meet its downfall.
On and on her hips swayed to the music carried her even as the temperature of the room increasing by several degrees. Her belly chains making their own music. Her lady stood by mouth hanging open, refusing to believe her own eyes as their most frequented artisan ruined the soles of her feet earning scars which would never fade having kissed the flames once. “Yali” she mouthed, devastated.
Yali could almost hear the next words: ‘Who will love you now that you have charred your skin for another man?’
But Yali did not need another lover, the emperor alone made sure the brothel was well taken care of for his nightly person resided there and this was her only income.
The crowds eyes moved from the dancer to the man who had taken a seat by the bed and had moved from the entrance now. When the sole lights casted by the flaming charcoals finally lit his face, his face revealed to be as impassive as ever. He was merely calmly watching the scene unfold. Did the emperor, His Majesty set her up to this? He surely never suggested nor fathomed such a thing.
The emperor cared for her. He truly cared for the one who warmed his bed on nights when the world decided to stow her burdens on his shoulders. He needed her by his side on nights when his wife, the empress only added further to his weary loads. He cared for her just enough to not overturn the empire, just enough to not lay by her as dawn broke even when his once marriage of love to the empress threatened to throttle him.
Behind walls he was known as a tyrant on battle grounds, never ceasing to throw even his dearest ones to ensure they still won; that he still won. He was said to lack emotions but Yali knew he cared, Just cared about majoriy over a precious one.

Love this haunted ambience. Especially the changing intensity of the rain.
When the piano is heard for the first time in the background I always say to myself "that sounds a little like Led Zeppelin's "No Quarter" song" It comes across like the longer version that was played by Zeppelin at their 1973 Madison Square Garden show when John Paul Jones is playing his keyboard solo portion.

I love subtle creepy music in the background and dark atmosphere overall. This makes me feel like I'm in a horror movie and my future killer is playing some beautiful piano pieces before slaughtering me 😂

The piano track that you chose doesn't fit this ambience very well IMO. It's not creepy enough, it sounds more like out of some french drama.
Maybe. I rather enjoy imagining the ghost is melancholic and enjoys playing these pieces, not some overdramatic creepy staff like all his ghost palls :P
