This was great, so glad he pointed out how the lgbtq+ is treated among the black race. This is a great COUPLE INTERVIEW was very informative along with the content. Keep on doing THE AWESOME work.
Sampson I'm so glad my friend shared this with me. The featured couple story is absolutely beautiful and inspiring. I will definitely continue to tune in. Thank you!
I applaud the counseling degree. I'm in the process of completing mine; I'm in the internship stage now. The things I learned made me realized how broken I really was. Also, kudos from a fellow Soldier.
Charming, charming, charming...they let each other speak . They have a very chill way about them. Love it Glad they sought after their education in counseling.
This was nothing short of amazing! I just discovered your channel earlier today and I’ve enjoyed these illuminating, inspiring, and powerful videos. Thank you for sharing such light and empowerment with the community! Continue to do great things, king.
YESSSSS IVE BEEN WAITING FOR ANOTHER ONE TO DROP. Sampson I really love this series. When you started initially I just watched like maybe 3 of the interviews. But in the last weeks I went back and watched all of them and feel in love. Each of the couples is beautiful in their own way and I think these videos are important because I feel like watching each one I learned at least ONE THING.
What a totally fascinating interview. It is so rare for such indepth discussions to mention the affect that being above the curve intellectually can shelter a gay kid from harrassment faced by so many. I was the smallest kid in my class and at the top gradewise. Our box is different than the C student who wants to be accepted on the football team. And, being small is a factor seldom discussed when it come to girls being attracted to small guys. I got cover as I fell through the cracks socially. But then, the shocking adjustment comes with self identification and trying to find a mate
Yeah, these two I'm not too sure about. 1) They live in Texas. 2) Texas is an "At Will" State. 3) Los is obviously an intelligent man, however, it's something in the way he explained most of Sampsons questions that was a little off putting for me. 4) Given Los's answers around his perception about Black people, I'm just very very very surprised his partner is of the same ethnicity as he. 5) I will stop there for fear I've said too much already. Please understand, I don't know these men and my perceptions are just that, mine. I could be 1000 percent off the mark about what I listened to here. These are important conversation, whether I embrace them fully or not. They are important to be had.
This is the first episode that I was compelled turned off about. Some commentators state that Los appears intelligent. I see nothing intelligent about regurgitating societal anti black tropes. He obviously has not read or examined anything that would challenge his inane views. There is a degree of prejudice against LGBTQ people in America, in general. That the AA community is more homophobic is challenged by many… after all, white males are the ones usually involved in shooting up gay bars; destroying power grids in North Carolina allegedly over an upcoming drag show.. and there are large swaths of the white population such as many Conservatives, MAGAs, white evangelicals ( and their many “pro family “ organizations) that are openly hostile towards and leading the assault against LGBTQ and particularly trans rights. As a matter of fact, white males are the per capita majority of those committing hate crimes ( against all categories) and domestic terrorism ( including acts specifically targeting the LGBTQ community) . White Americans are clearly not the open minded community that he portrays. As a black person, he should know this… past and present realities demonstrate this situation. Black people like Los who parrot many of the prejudice views about the black community are nauseating. Los stated that he is obtaining a degree in clinical mental health. He needs to explore his deep sense of self hatred before he counsels others.
I've been binge watching these. And this is the 1st couple that I did not like. Especially that one with the glasses. He comes across as thinking degreed people are better. He seems to value a certain status over charactor. The same thing he claims the Black community did to him as a gay man. He does to people he deems less educated and thoes not on a certain financial level.Thoes two have no joy or passion in their eyes. I doubt if their relationship will last.
I was rejected by so many black guys, and I never could understand that. I am in a 41 and counting, relationship and I've complained I don't have any black friends. And still don't, but hopeful.
There’s judgement in all ethnic communities. Brother seems confused. There are several of us highly educated. I don’t think his relationship with black people (who he calls them) was the catalyst for how he was treated by blacks. It’s because of his self hatred and confusion. The large head brotha needs to deflate his ego and get some healing. He’s so broken! I feel bad for him. Seek help brother.
Wonderful folks. ❤

I would assume that someone well educated would be more aware and intellectual. But he disproves that.

My what a handsome couple
He makes a very good point.
Oh yeah… I don’t like the white supremacist one. He could’ve saved everything that fell out of his mouth.

not really feeling the behaviorist in the mental health field, who grew up supressing emotions.

What's the name of the song in the intro?
“Little Dream” by DJ Quad
Who is the boyfriend, who is the girlfriend in this relationship. I can't understand this relationship.
they are two men who love each other, thats the only thing you need to understand.
Now I see why he is like that. But a civilian is not a military person.
