That's a brilliant idea, put a large capacity bin in the ground, covered with a ordinary bin, at first I thought WAW that would be great in the UK then I realised that the UK is a temperate climate and the side walks are too narrow and it would be susceptible to flooding, great idear though but wouldn't work here in the UK just too wet.

In the UK same as anywhere.these would a) fill up with rain , in even one week the amount of bacteria in the bin would stink so bad. They don't put any chemicals in it. It would absolutely reek .

Very smart way of garbage disposal
Design like this must be great for the people who use it. You wouldn't have to put the bins out on garbage day, you would just chuck it down the chute any day its not like the foxes can get at it. Might be a bit slower for the garbage man, but that trash chute looks like the equivalent of 6 wheelie bins
You must see the other type of containers. This container name is Sotkon. Also you can choose another type of containers. For example Molok, Teksin ( turkish manufacturer) have another type.
There's a lot of manual steps with this.

Very smart for places that have a high population.
This allows the City to not become overwhelmed with constantly having to remove the trash. A larger receptacle disguised like this allows them to keep up with the need for removal without becoming buried in it

Nah. We have this in NL everywhere and for years and the pick up actually is waaaaaay quicker and doesn't require all this manual manipulation
Good idea only things need to improved during dumping to the garbge truck cannot totally empty the plastic bin it need to extend more longer the dumping arm.
