Hi! Could you kindly tell me how one would reshape an older very tall neglected plum tree? The middle is quite open and the plums at the top are easily 20 ft high. We would like it a lot shorter.
I'm no expert so I tend to look on the RHS website. If the tree is currently completely out of control you may need to be quite brutal this year and accept a poorer harvest next year but following what the gentleman said in this video you can get your tree back to a healthy shape and size. Good luck.
