Will be camping this weekend, so I may not get to respond to everyone later in the day! Hope you all enjoy the video and recipe! Blog Post to Full Recipe: www.ketoupgrade.info/post/keto-crispy-cereal-treats
Wow! You are the keto sweets fairy. Two of my grand children, do not like cakes. Beside icecream they love a Rice krispies with candles on top, as there birthday cake. So grandma will surely, put up her sleeves and make thhese marshmallow treats for Christmas.
I'm so grateful to have found you! You're the chef I wish I could have been and you bring the professional touch to shorten the learning curve for us to have keto treats! I made these yestreday as a small test batch with the Magic spoon fruity cereal and the max mallows, added peanut butter, because why not! Amazing! Tonight I did Magic spoon again but 1/2 peanut butter and 1/2 cocoa with a handful of Bake Believe semi sweet chocolate chips. So delicious! The crunchy cereal with the gooey marshmallow cream adhesive!!! ❤❤❤❤❤ Thanks so much for sharing!!! Congratulations on getting to where you're shipping🎉
I had a surprising find at my local Grocery Outlet : Magic Spoon cereal (limited flavors) for like 4 bucks. That was a while back, but what a deal! Another thought: I got a box of these little dot-like food from Amazon called "ProMix Whey Proteins Isolate Puffs". i think those would emulate Rice Crispies very well, texture wise...about the same size and basically flavorless.
That's awesome, what a find! Yeah I mentioned those in the video. They would work well but they are 2g of carbs for only 14g so you would need to use a lot and they would end up being high in net carbs for a little square.
I stay away from tapioca starch if possible and because peanuts are legumes and not nuts I stay away from peanut flour and peanut extract which are all in the magic spoon cereals
Delicious!! I made some with Catalina Crunch Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal and Choc Zero marshmallows! I need to try your recipe for marshmallows! Thank you so much!
These look delicious! I love peanut butter crispy treats. I just added the cereal to my shopping cart. I may add peanut butter as well, it will be worth the extra carbs. 😂 Thank you so much for all you do, can’t wait for you to start shipping to Washington.
Thanks! Hope you enjoy them, more peanut butter is always good, lol! Me too, shipping will be kind of expensive unfortunately until I'm making enough to offer free shipping.
These look great. I have a bunch of magic spoon from a big sale they had at a local store. I would probably only put part of the melted marshmallows on to the cereal so that I don't put too much because I like my treats more crispy than mashmallowy.
Funny I was eating that special k cinnamon cereal this morning and I wondered if I could make a keto faux Rice Krispie treat out of it? I even broke some pieces in half to see if it would hold together if I wanted them smaller like Rice Krispies. I know the other kind was your favorite as far as taste but Im wondering if the special k had to most similar texture to real Rice Krispies mixed with the marshmallow. It’s the airiness of puffed rice that I like so much mixed with marshmallow.
That's funny! That cereal definitely made a good crispy cereal treat. Didn't even think about pulverized them more. You would definitely need a lot of it if you broke it up smaller though.
Thanks, I plan on trying these with the Promix whey puffs. Is there any reason we can't just make these using the marshmallow when it's still at the fluff stage, right after you're done beating it? Just beat in the melted butter and go from there rather than having to form marshmallows, only to have to melt them again?
You're welcome! 👍A batch of marshmellows makes around 4 batches of the squares so you would need around 400g if not more of the protein puffs and 2 sticks of butter. It would make a lot of cereal treats.
It's really sticky and hard to work with when you make the marshmallows and it makes a lot so you would need to add a ton of butter and put it back on the stove. But it might mess up the gelling process, idk.

Ty for giving us something we crave. I want to try adding pbutter to cereal mixture, then topping with milk chocolate for a reeses flavor.
That's a good combo for sure!
Looks pretty delicious, dear Alycia ❤❤

Connecticut here 👋
Hi! I went to Connecticut culinary Institute!
These look great. I have a bunch of magic spoon from a big sale they had at a local store. I would probably only put part of the melted marshmallows on to the cereal so that I don't put too much because I like my treats more crispy than mashmallowy.
Thanks!
Pork rinds actually make some good rice krispy treats.
Oh didn't even think about that, good idea! Maybe I'll test it out!

Where can I find a low sugar mash mellow?
I have a recipe on my channel, it's linked in the description box or you can just search ketoupgrade marshmellow recipe.
From Canada are you thinking of shipping to Canada, Toronto
Maybe at some point down the line but my bakery has to grow quite a bit in order to get to that point.

😊❤️
Could u just add the cereal before you set the marshmallow?
It's really sticky and hard to work with when you make the marshmallows and it makes a lot so you would need to add a ton of butter and put it back on the stove. But it might mess up the gelling process, idk.
I can't have Soy!!!
Yeah many people can't that's why I reiterate to check labels to get a cereal that fits what you need.
😊❤❤
😊❤️
Is keto on a label like 5 g or less?
I think it should be but unfortunately there is no regulation on it.
