Looking at this, the Welsh Highlands, and the Strasburg (in the US), it never ceases to amaze me. These lines have heavier rails, and longer trains in preservation than they ever did before preservation. That really makes me happy, knowing that they are thriving like this.
Just what was done to the garrett to re gauge it from 2 foot to 2 foot 6 inches were the frames cut and 3xpanded then new axles fitted or were the cylinders canted outwards and then new axles
@@michaelnaisbitt7926 good question. I am not sure how or when. It may need some serious searching to find out or it maybe on the puffing billy website?
@@martynpegg1483 sometimes i only have time to jump out and grab a photo. Im not very good at video. Still learning setups and stuff. I may do a compilation of the Garratt’s. That would be fun i suppose.

Brasso useful for cleaning Brass & Copper fittings! I thought the Copper & Brass fittings require some cleaning. 😅
So 129 no longer runs the noon train every Saturday?
I'm not sure what the schedule is. I just rock up and photograph whatever happens hahaha
As much as I love the other trains, the title said the "Garrat returns" so I was expecting to see more of it.

@@dons_trains Ok Don thanks for replying & all the best Thanks
Garratt, not Garrett. A Garrett is a turbo charger.
And a Garant is a gun
It is also a Traction Engine....
spell checking also changes it from an a to an e.
@@dons_trains That's true it does that.
I did it again. I will change it. Why does it bother you? Just asking.
Because it's two wrong. You need to go over their and stand in the corner to.
@@ThePaulv12 i mess it up every time hahaha
