  • Hiking, drinking from waterfalls and glaciers, boating, kayaking to remote beaches... Is this real life? We went out on Brian's C-Dory for the week of Summer Solstice on Prince William Sound, and it is one of the most magical places I've been to - put it on your bucket list.

This video and whole series deserves recognition. Your Alaska series has been absolutely stunning. The amount of work needed to obtain most of these shots does not go unnoticed. Thank you for showing us how beautiful our planet can really be and thank you for all the effort you put into each and every video.

EDIT: Some of you are pointing out that this was posted twice - Correct! there was a problem with the other video file that I needed to correct, and since UA-cam doesn't have the option to replace the file, I have no choice but to upload a new one. Sorry about that!
It's not a flying video, but part of my flying trip in Alaska nonetheless! Let me know your thoughts in the comments. More flying content coming very soon. Thanks to EVERYONE for all the support.

I have to say, each video I think you can't get any better than this. Then you upload another and..... You did it again, awesome! I can't wait to see what is next. I also have a question, at about 5:10, when you are talking about the light messing up your camera, is that a lens cloud over the mountain behind you?

This is more than a UA-cam video. It definitely shares a little glimpse of Heaven. From the beautiful colors, waterfalls, seals, sunsets and sunrises, to the talent of filming and assembling the music and videos, we appreciate all of it. This inspires us! I also give a thumbs up to the wisdom, experience and forethought of your guide, Brian. Thank you so much.

All I can say is WOW!!! 40 years ago, as a young Private Pilot, I dreamed of going to Alaska as a Bush Pilot. As is the case with many others, life got in the way. School, a career and raising a family were my priorities. I can only hope to one day fly in Alaska and maybe even start a second career as a Bush Pilot. Thank you, Josh, not only for sharing your aviation experiences with us, but also for being the caring, safety and community focused pilot/filmmaker that you are and we should all aspire to be. I truly enjoy all of your videos, but this Alaskan Series was extra special to me. I'm just North of you, in Georgetown, TX and hope that one fine day we might be able to meet.

    @National Geographic:
Please give this man an airplane, a camera and sound setup, and a good budget. Let him fly the world and tell the stories of where aviators go and the adventures they find when they arrive. This is top-notch level work coming from a person with an obvious passion. David Attenborough now has a worthy successor.

Josh...just magnificent! At 80 I only fly RC now but I get my vicarious thrills from watching you, and other, vloggers on their channels full of adventure. This Alaska series has just blown it all away! I have been to Alaska twice and my next trip will be just as soon as I can get there again. Why...? Your series says it all! It is very difficult to put into words all that Alaska evokes in the human spirit. You can take photos and videos, and you can describe it to everyone, but until you experience that singular moment of wonder as you gaze upon this vastness of beauty and feel the awesome sense of creation present everywhere you will not be complete! Thank you so very much for bringing that to those who will never have a chance to see it in person. You have a remarkable gift for storytelling and I will always be a listener. Clear skies and safe flying! Cheers, Dave Thomas

First I want to say THANK YOU! It is hard to say how I feel about this. It is kind of I love that you got to do this and that you took the time and trouble to film it so we can see. I have not done much videos to put on here. In fact I did just one! It was some photos of my father that I put together, from what I could find, WWII, Korea, then some of the places we got to go to as I family. That gave me an idea how much it takes to make videos. I just wished I could go to see this for myself. But I know I never will. Watching the your videos is as good as I get!

Josh, I don't know what you do for a full time job but if it's not cinematography you've missed your calling. Having lived in Alaska albeit many years ago, you even had me in awe of the wonders and magic that is Alaska. You my friend hit the nail on the head with this video. I'm so glad you had the opportunities you did while visiting up there to see what you saw and experience what you did. I miss Alaska greatly and want to go back so bad. I will one of these days but when I do, it'll be as a licensed pilot so I can view it the way I did when I lived there flying her skies as a Coast Guard HC-130 Flight Engineer. It'll be even better when I get to do it as PIC. Take care and stay safe.

Ok, so now the 65” 4k ROKU TV finally was worth it! Been watching the whole series on this and way beyond amazing! Thank you for the journey of a lifetime. Seems like the seals don’t mind the drone, but take off when the kayaks come close. Many people don’t know that seals must be out of the water over 8 hours a day or they get hypothermic, like us in about 20 minutes or less in those waters with any gear on. 😎

Insanely jealous. Some of the most beautiful scenery in the world in my opinion. Somewhere I desperately want to visit, and possibly live. And something I'm coming to realize, even if I don't accept, is not meant to be. Your entire trip was amazing, but this 4 day section is the Alaska that so many dream of. Go back, as often as you can, and health allows. Those memories are worth so much more than what they cost to make.

Would have given up some flight time for this experience also in a heartbeat. For those of you who find yourselves fortunate enough to be able to go to this area its just outside of Anchorage and there are plenty of shuttle services that can take you to Whittier. There is even train service and my suggestion would be to ride the train. I cannot recommend highly enough if you can do anything do the "26 Glacier Cruise" out of Whittier. It's on a triple level motorized tri hull and it'll take you right up closer to the Glaciers than the cruise ships can get. Hearing the glacier thunder and seeing them calve is undescribable. The otters and sea lions are everywhere. It is truly the trip of a lifetime.

The drone give some spectacular views that only a drone can do, and it helps to have a chef on board, that can boat, cook and fly and a thanks to the boat owner. Josh, Great job on this video. We didn't miss each other by much as I was up in that area not but 9 days before that. My Wife and I got married on the Colony Glacier on June 12th. We rented a helicopter for the day to fly around and get pictures and got the opportunity to fly over the end and into Prince William Sound. Although being on the glacier and the scenery around it were amazing nothing compared to what we saw in the Sound and the 3 or 4 glaciers we could see feeding into it. We had a super Pilot and Photographer that landed us on the side of the mountain and some of best pictures came from this spot. Great job on this Yours and Chris' skills really show on this one. Have a great New Year and keep up the great work. I am not flying at this stage in my life so you and the others that are putting out great videos keep it going in me.

Ethereal is the best word I can come up with to describe this video. I've only gotten to see some of what you showed up close from a cruise ship. Your Alaska flying adventure has been a dream of mine for many many years. Something I hope to make happen soon. Thank you so much for putting out such AMAZING content. Be well.

Simply Amazing!!! Often times pictures and videos don't do the actual scenery justice but you are a master in showcasing the Alaskan beauty. I don't think you realize how much you inspire people. Not only to pursue aviation but also to seek out adventures. After following you for several years, you have motivated this old dog to return to flying in the quest to discover the unbeaten paths all over this country. Thank you!!!

Josh, Watching in 4K was just breath taking. What a beautiful place on the planet you brought to us. I wonder if you could find the time to comment on the drone used for some of the video. It was excellent as well. I think you did it so well that you fulfilled that bucket list adventure for many of us, certainly for me. And after watching the entire series, I will never forget the sound of Chris's unique "clear" out of my head. Thank You, stay healthy and I appreciate all the work you do to bring these videos to me.

Very well done. I really enjoyed this video. Ever since I came to Alaska in 2009 I have wanted to see Prince William Sound. This summer a kayak trip is on the list.

I am watching this a year after you posted and I'm sorry I don't have a greater social media presence. This video is truly inspiring and that only 24k people at the time of this writing have viewed is disappointing. This is truly beautiful and I appreciate what you have shared and inspired the viewer to experience. I truly hope to experience this during my time but I appreciate that I at least get to view it.
