In 1998 I had been doing the John Thompson book one , I got the Köhler op 157 book , twelve studies . This helped a lot with five finger patterns and also scales and increased my enthusiasm . The first piece in particular had some imitations of the figure in the right hand in the left hand, I thought I was playing Bach - this led to wanting to practice and interpret more - so thanks for saying that , I never heard anyone say that the 1800's could have any Baroque in it , but music evolves and borrows from each other

Gurlitt wrote a piece entitled "Song". A nice piece, but the lamest title ever.
