Very fair deal by Robert. He could have asked for 40-50%
I agree, but I think he either didn't want control of the company, or didn't want to take control from these young entrepreneurs.
He didn’t invest, he just gambled. Too small to make a dent in anything. O’Leary was right. Even with a patent you still have to chase people down and sue. Too many knockoffs in the LED MARKET

Kevin was spot on.. China will import and you go after them and another shop pops up the next day. It's impossible to stop that with something so simple.

Let’s quickly get an ActionGlow update, now that Garret and Dakota were able to secure a deal after all these years. The company is doing well, and the deal with Robert did go through, though the terms did slightly change.
It also turns out, that the company launched a new product, ActionGlow2, on the night the episode aired. This was such a hit, that they surpassed their lifetime sales within a week of the episode airing.
We recently caught up with Dakota and Garret for a post Shark Tank interview, and asked what it was like to be on the show. They said, “There are so many “best parts” about being on Shark Tank, but being able to share this accomplishment with our family, friends, mentors, and community that have stood by us for so long would be at the top of the list.”
Then we asked how being on Shark Tank has helped their business. They said, “ActionGlow after Shark Tank thrived. We were also extremely fortunate to have an air date right before the holiday season, so everybody was in the gift purchasing mode.”

Yep this product sucks .. only thing that can save them is a really good video that pops up at 12 am when direct deposit hits and someone decides to make this their first spend on their paycheck

I am so happy for these guys. They made a great deal. But I'm just struggling with why anyone would buy this product. It's just a simple LED strip.
No ACTUAL extreme sportist would buy this, it be bought for instagram shoots or music videos. There is zero actuall sporting market for this product, it will go NO where.
slap some microprocessors on that strip, load it up with AI and they got themselves a unicorn

@@northernlights9574 You can already just buy a strip with controller that can do 130 patterns in different colors for like 30 bucks (for the skateboard, a bit more for the surfboard). I know because I've had a few in my house for years already.
It was actually a pretty great offer from Robert!

Barbara is the most nonsensical shark I have ever seen. They very clearly established that going viral would mean them not being able to fulfill the orders. Yet, she's fixated on it 🤦♂️
Yeah but she's right, its been 10 years and only 100k in sales, they should've gone viral long back or at least gained a huge following on social media considering they're young.

The price of lighting strip is around 3 dollars for 5 meters. These guy are charging 49, what a bunch of scam artists!
I looked it up, you can already get battery powered RGB (all the colors) LED strips with a remote for 15$.

Why do they even pay and invite Barbara onto the show? She always has something negative to say and almost never makes an offer. She is literally taking away opportunity from entrepreneurs and other potential Shark investors.

These guys are my favourite business people so far. I would love to surf and chill with them, just pure positive energy. I would happily host them should they decide to visit Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Except they're terrible at running a business lol. It doesn't make sense that after 10 years they're still doing everything by hand and haven't looked into manufacturing. If that truly has been their main bottleneck in generating more sales, and they haven't done that yet, that's very alarming. This business wasn't worth 100k for 100%.
