Heat a flat heat or similar flat object and melt into the threaded peice that broke off, let cool and then you should be able to screw the broken peice out, I'd recommends printing the bolts with the layer lines going from top to bottom of the bolt, vs on the horizontal plane of the bolt. Cool project man! Hope it works out

Thank you for making this video.
So many people are afraid to show the failures and trials, mostly due to ego. But that creates a space where people watching who do encounter issues give up cause they feel like they don't have what it takes, when really they just need to keep going.
Failures are more than just setbacks, they are necessary stops on any road to learning. Working through them is essential to mastery.
You're awesome. You'll have an awesome uke next time, I know it.

This is good for us makers. Though you weren’t successful, you still tried. Third times the charm? Or fourth, or fifth. The thing is, we’ll keep trying till we get it right. Thanks for the vid !

Its mostly complete. I've learned that 3d printing isn't always the answer to every design/part. I think you should modify the mounting method to incorporate clear epoxy plus fasteners that are made of metal. I get that it would be cool to make it completely 3d printed. Love your content and honesty.

Redesign the bridge with three posts that fit into the 3 existing holes. Glue up the bridge at the surface, lube those new posts too and the holes. Clamp it down if you can. Let the whole thing sit for a couple of days to ensure the glue has properly set. This baby ain't yet dead!

Hello. Use heat inserts and brass screws to secure the bridge.

Dude well done for trying. And also thank you for posting this video. It's important for people to see that not all projects work out. Looking forward to the next vid!

3D Printed Ukuleles and Guitars are a challenge because of string tension and its effect on plastic. I have had good success with tailpieces and floating bridges on my 2-string ukulele sized guitars. The neck goes through the body and I use a carbon fiber rod to prevent the neck from bending. The mini-Chugger I finished today is all PLA with conventional tuners. I have tried various 3D printed tuners, none have functioned effectively for any length of time with regular play. Good luck on attempt three.

Interesting observation on the PETG. I only do PETG and all my printers are old so slow for me is normal. Anyway... thanks for sharing the good and the bad. Good video.

You should try plastic welding. I did a huge sword that fell apart with glue of different type. Had enough then plastic weld….success

I learned something new with each attempt. The third time will be the charm.

You really are disappointed, so much so, I could feel your pain just watching. Sorry it didn't work out. But I'm sure we'll see the triumphant video of you conquering the 3D printed ukulele very soon!
