Interesting seeing deer wander around the hunter's stand in a nice winter woods. I've spent hours one a stand and saw nothing, but stuck it out till I felt like a popsicle.
Thanks for the video George. Always good to be in the woods especially when there is a lot of activity to keep it from getting too slow. Now on to flintlock season!
Great video and you really had a superb vantage point where you were positioned. I went out the last two days in Adams County PA and was blessed to harvest a small Doe on the very last day December 7, which was a very cold day sitting up in a tree. I ended up coming out of the tree stand that afternoon around 3:15 PM so I could warm up for about 45 minutes and go back and finish out the day. I didn’t have my regular hunting boots that day because the sole fell off the bottom of one of them the day before. As I was headed to my SUV to warm up I spotted a Doe about 100 yards out at the end of a field standing along the tree line. I was able to get off a clean shot right through the head with my scoped model 94. As I said, even though it was a small Doe, I am very thankful to have had venison stew just in time for Christmas! Thank you for sharing this great video and I will continue watching others that you post👍🇺🇸
I' enjoy watching hunting videos on YT. Most folks who have accounts appreciate constructive comments and you seem like a real nice guy, so let me take a chance. Narrating real time through the entire video is sort of annoying and takes away from the experience for the viewer. Perhaps you would consider doing some narration after the fact - like a voice over? I think it would make for a better result. In any event, thanks for taking the time to make and share your videos.
Not a lot of buck come out after the rut they usually just rest but bow season coming up is gonna be so good cause the buck are gonna be moving around a lot more i cant wait
Yeah looks like you need to balance out the deer herd , way too many doe. It makes it tough during the rut for sure, we had that problem but by harvesting more doe , you see more bucks cruising looking for doe. More competition for the doe.
Must be hunting private property I'm from Pennsylvania Uniontown area area 51 state game lands five or six guys all week long and don't see that many dr-3/ 4 shots maybe the first daynow this is in the mountains around Laurel caverns full bear and coyotes I guess your state representative in your game wardens really ruin it bad for us there used to be good huntingback in 89 we would probably see that many in one day but since they started this coyote and black bear program they really tore the hell out of these Pennsylvania whitetails in our area these molehills around here ain't big enough for a bear and whitetails both so they're picking on her whitetails big time Hunter's around here have been pissed off for quite a while
Come on man, when there are more than one they are not DOE, You cannot have 4 DOE. That would be Doe's all you PA guys do this and it makes me laugh. And more than 1 buck would be Buck's. NIce hunt. at least you got to see something and that is most of the fun.
Seriously though it’s traditional and historically acceptable regarding game to maintain the singular. ie we saw five bear, we saw a flock of mallard, they harvested 4 doe. Funny how words live on that come from our past. During the market hunting days when you cashed in your harvest you had a bunch of money salted away (preserved in brine crocks). Buckskin was prized for its thickness and durability so you’d sell your stack of bucks for a dollar each. Does are usually smaller and thinner skinned. But you could still have a big pile of doe. The mislabeling to dough was a postwar custom when market hunting had rightly been done away with for a number of years. one buck is a buck....TWO bucks are bucks...not buck. same goes for does..it is plural.

Guys spend a lot of dough to go shoot a doe, while another guy does the same to see a bunch of does he doesn’t shoot because he took a doze. DOH!
