      Hi Pete,
      You and your wife would absolutely love driving the commander in there. Let me know if you're going down & I'll meet you there if I can. There are two big new hotels only 15 south of Rocanville in Moosomin & several restaurants to choose from. There is also 1 or 2 big new hotels in Esterhazy.

      I had an oil seal that blew on me. Pinion seal on the engine side in the rear. Then not more than two runs later, I had some severe play in the front universal joints for the front driveshaft. So those had gotten replaced.
      I also found a warped brake disk up front that was causing some binding and uneven wear on the brake pads. They got replaced haha. The list keeps going on. But it should last me a while again after all of this.
      Im a stickler about the upkeep on my bike. Its the difference between making it home at the end of the day, or not.

      You won't regret it. There is a camp ground with a nice little 9 hole course in Rocanville, plus a few hotels if you want to stay over night. You can ride your quads right out of the campground. There are also a couple of newer hotels in Esterhazy, at the other end of the trail. If you prefer mud & deep water, start at Esterhazy (I think you need a snorkel though). I've never ridden that end of the trail.

    I was kinda wondering if you can go quadding at Cypress Hills Inter provincial Park on the Saskatchewan side? We went through there a couple years ago with out camping and saw jeeps all over the place doing the off-grid camping thing.

    • @quaddingsous
      @quaddingsous  8 років тому +1

      Hey again bert,
      I doubt very much you can go quadding in Cypress Hills. As far as I know there are only 2 Provincial Parks you can quad in and even in those two, it is really, really, restricted as to where you can go. They don't care much for ATV'ers in Provincial Parks. Heck, you're not even allowed to ride in/out of a Provincial campground; and I'm not talking about the campgrounds inside a Park boundry; I'm talking about those dinky little campgrounds up north in the bush used mostly by fishing parties.
      But, ya never know . . . maybe you should call them & ask???? I'll meet you there - LOL.
      Thanx for the extra comments! Whoooo!

    Can I make my reservation now or later?Snakes in Canada? Do they move on the other side of the road? Berries? You had better be on a Bear watch! The chances of seeing a bear are Barely possible! You will have to tie a string to the cover so you don't loose it.I wish I was there to have a laugh with you.Next time take a pole and catch some trout, cook them over a fire. Wear was your GPS?Thanks for sharing, Q, this was a wonderful trip. Ken

    • @quaddingsous
      @quaddingsous  8 років тому

      Hi Ken!
      Yes, there are lots of snakes in Canada - LOL. In fact, there are venomous rattle snakes in the far south of Saskatchewan & parts of British Columbia. We also have black widow spiders too, but most people don't know that.
      My Garmin GPS? It quit working on me.
      Not a lot of bears in that area (I don't think). I could be wrong; there are bears in certain areas of the Qu'Appelle Valley so who knows. Go on Google Earth and search Qu'Appelle Valley. You'll be amazed at how big it is.

      If you could buy Rollei in North America, I'd suggest that, but considering you can't, the GoPro's seem to be the most versatile with very good quality. Another excellent quality action cam is made by Drift, but I'm just going by the word of others on that. I think Costco sells a GoPro knock-off type & that might be worth a try considering Costco will take anything back if you don't like it. Hahaha!
