My husband is a member of the Paradise Men group and it's not a scam. It was created as a group to help other Nigerian men going through the immigration process just like Michael said.

What is this mindset that if you're a foreigner, you're not allowed to leave a marriage when things get bad without running the risk of being called a scammer? Everyone has the right to be treated with dignity and respect. From what was presented on camera, Angela didn't seem to extend that grace to Michael. Week in and week out, she verbally, physically, and mentally abused this man. There was zero respect shown.
In my personal opinion, I do believe Michael's initial agenda was to come to America if possible, but that his reasoning for staying with Angela wasn't based upon that solely. Contrary to popular belief, not every person abroad desires to live in the States. In my opinion, Michael probably figured he was getting a bonus by coming to America and would make do with the marriage. I do believe he found himself loving her along the way, and that's why he put up with the abuse. Trust me, if he was a scammer, he would know that there are much easier ways of getting to America other than allowing yourself to be humiliated and abused for seven years. At any rate, I wasn't there, so I don't have a dog in this fight. Just my opinion.

Omg you are so right! So many Americans worship this green card as if every foreigner life depends upon it. Let me tell you many of us come to America with tons of education and experience and find ourselves having to start over from the bottom. Many of us when you look at it was better off staying in our country but we fell in love with an American. I worked my ass off in this country to make it but immigrants rarely get a pot of gold on this country. My husband was lazy stopped working after I started to work, drank alcohol, was verbally and emotionally abusive. I had to finally walk away for my life and my 2 kids and start over. Not every immigrant is a green card scammer. Many of us tolerate and put up with the abuse until we could walk away.
I felt so bad for Michael. What happened to all of the TLC Money and yes she absolutely abused and disrespected that young man. She treated him like trash. I think she asked so he could publicly state his opinion about it because that’s the narrative that Angela is pushing. She gave him an opportunity to speak his thoughts and his own truth. A lot of interviewers, especially the good ones ask offensive questions to really give a person the opportunity to speak on things that are being perpetuated and said.

I am so glad I saw this. Michael, I believe, did love Angela and thought it was all the pressure of not being together was the reason for her treating him so badly. He seems very easygoing and naive. Angela thinks about herself first and she cares about her grandchildren, but not enough to not smoke in the house. What Michael is not seeing is that Angela had become something else because she could sense Micheal weakness. I went through the immigration process with my husband and did it without a lawyer and he is right! You join group chats and everything to find out about the processes, documents and interview questions. It’s very stressful! I was on Reddit, and immigration groups as well. We started our process before WhatsApp was even created lol. I believe him. My husband is from India…which is another country that it is always a long and difficult immigration process.

The thing about this situation is that Michael is likable and Angela isn't, so even though it's clear that he's scamming her, a lot of us tend to sympathize with Michael because of all of the abuse he's endured. However, they are both guilty of doing some very bad things, so neither of them are innocent.
