This is the last recorded interview with Pepsi Tate. It was recorded at The Point, Cardiff in 2007, just a few months before his passing.
This is mostly an unedited interview where Pepsi talks about all things Tigertailz, as well his health condition at the time. Pepsi is interviewed by our long-time friend Philip Wilding. Our sincere thanks to Phil for being there at the toughest times x
We’d also like to thank Luke Raddy for editing these interview clips together.
The interview is approximately 45 mins long and is for true Tigertailz fans.

Tailz days were the best. Pepsi was always so incredibly lovely x
What a brave and candid interview. I lost my brother to cancer in 84, such a horrible disease. On a side note, I was also in a glam metal band from 86 to 90 called Fifth Avenue. We also used to play Bogiez quite often in those days... It was always a great venue to play with a good crowd... Fantastic memories, you guys did well to step up to another level and no one can take that away from you.✌🤟
One of the best band with the best people in it. I was very ill, pretty much dying in 2006. Kim and Jay both took time out of their life (and at that time Pepsi was very ill) called me to wish their best for me. Even with everything happening to Pepsi, they still called me. Luckily I survived my illness.
Young and crazy is my favorite and the best glam metal album
Tigertailz were so / are awesome. Miss you Pepsi 🙏🫶🏼
Tigertailz.... What a great band.. Pepsi was a lovely fella, still have my scrap book with the old promo photos, flyers and letters from the great man himself. We must never forget, although there was great stuff from the start and beyond but Bezerk was a ridiculously great album and tour, a fantastic time for fans of the band. Full on energetic, bombastic, backing vocal backing tracks to blow your mind. I loved it and I was never a glammy in appearance, good sounds are good sounds and the band were on fire back then....
My biggest regret was not catching up with Pepsi after the Newcastle Arena show he mentions here, the show was in the foyer if I remember correctly. He was wandering about, drink in hand and I just didn't want to bother him, I so much wish I had...a diamond
Cracking vid guys so sad a legend is no longer here but he's rocking in heaven 🤘
What a legend greatly missed. Keep his legend alive. Great job guys
Great interview.
So sad he is no longer with us, but it’s good to see you guys keeping his memory going, keep doing what you do best and I bet he’s looking down on you all with a smile🙂
Pepsi was a one of a kind dude. I don't know anyone who had anything bad to say about him. Even with all the turmoil between members over the years, Pepsi always seemed to be loved by everyone despite what was going on around him,
A beautiful soul taken way too soon.
Lovely guy , so sadly missed ❤
So sad
:'(
Rip Pepsi!
thank you for posting xx
Legend! Only ever got to briefly meet him (with Ace) the once - ironically at a Steevi Jaimz gig at the Astoria in London ...
Such a sad loss, nice fella. I met all the band in 1990 when they played Sheffield University. Good times.
Pepsi tate glam metal legend
Can’t stand nirvana or any of the other shoe gazer bands. Hair metal lasted way longer than any other genre of music and it got demanded to come back by the end of the 90’s. You can’t kill hair metal 🤘🏼
I don't like grudge too, you are not alone
Crack inolvidable 🇦🇷👌
Rip pepsi , makes me sad just hearing him and knowing what happened to him , he is so underrated and tigertailz should have been huge ❤😢😭😞😪😇🐯🐅
