- Setting up and skating my Bucky Lasek Powell Peralta reissue for the first time in 30 years felt very special. Thanks to Mcgills skate shop, Protec helmets for putting the session together and Chris Borst for the awesome Halfpipe hospitality. This video is one of my favorites to date and brought back so many great memories. Comment below and share some of your skateboard memories.

I remember seein that board on magazines back in1991. Time when legit boards are for peeps w/ Bucks only lol..

Bucky is insanely good! Amazing watching him skate the classic board. I had no idea Sherelyn Fein was on there btw. As an aside, I have an awesome story about saving a coffee table sized snapping turtle from traffic on a 2 lane mountain road. The turtle wasn’t backing down either. Got there just in time. 🐢🙂🤙
I used to draw that Vallely fly logo on everything when I was a kid. Wow... took me back.
I remember Bucky skating that deck at my little mini ramp in Baltimore, 1990 or 1991. We would have 10 or 15 guys a day there doing lip sticks and stuff. Bucky comes by starts doing head high airs out of a 6 foot ramp. Ah the good old days.
Who needs the reissue, I got the original complete with Trackers and Street Razors, pure OG. Those were the good old days when switch was something your grandma beat you with.
Seeing those guys ripping it just makes me so happy. Takes me back to being a kid. Same awe and wonder on being part of the generation with Lasek, Hasoi, Cabalero, mc Gill and the rest. Awesome time to be alive in history!

Love that board, so much so that I still have a nearly mint one sitting in my basement. Bought it, set it up to ride and two days before heading to a ramp to break it in I blow out my knee and never rode vert again. Props to you guys for still riding all these years later and still rippin' it. Nice session guys.

46 yr old here reminiscing about T Bone Wheels, Natas, Swiss Bearings and remembering the days when we street skated pass midnight till morning. Thanks Bucky for the trip back to memory lane filled with laughs and cheers. Stay safe ....btw when we gonna see the white stallion ripping some gravel# boxer life. .😉😂. Love the rumble...
The Buckit needs some love and will be spraying gravel and carving canyons soon.

this deck brings back so many memories i remember you coming to my neighbor hood with that board when you went pro and they issued you that deck i lived in Sparrows Point MD was a great day for a 13 year old kid to ride with you on my street for a couple hours funny my kid just got into skating and was cool to tell him the story so stoked to see how far you went in life brother im glad they did a reissue cause i want to set one up now to kick it with my kid much love brother

Getting Back into shredding some boards after 30 years and super stoked! Thanks for this vid because I'm trying to get my first board and leaning towards this one for the width/length and of course the era. I was born in Baltimore, my father had an apartment in Fells Point, and now I’m an organic exotic tropical fruit grower in Hawaii, and you still inspire me. It’s too bad my son could never have the skateboard experience we had in a city, none the less I’m glad to be here growing durians. Thanks again. You’re as an amazing athlete as any NBA o NFL professional.

Growing up, skating in Baltimore I remember when that board came out. A few of my friends had it. I always thought the graphic was cool. Seeing how many people you could ID in the "crowd". I love to pick one of these up, just for nostalgia sake. Anyhow... I skated with you a few times randomly back in the day. And it was cool to stumble upon your UA-cam channel a few months ago. I'm enjoying the brat build. Good to see ya reppin B-more and still doing your thing man. Keep doin what ya do bruh. 👊🏼 ✌🏼

You should use Tracker Dart six tracks. That was the OG back in the day plus they are still made in the USA. They worked awesome on my reissue.. Indy’s are Chinese now..

You know what's cool?
Lip tricks, inverts and style are all back in again for transition skating. Hell, even reverts - which were completely outlawed in the early aughts are back with a vengeance.
Very cool idea to skate your re-issue and see how it holds up and give a very cool history lesson along the way.
