    Hello fiends,
    In today's video, we are going to learn to make a tesla coil for wireless transfer of electricity. A Tesla coil is an electrical resonant transformer circuit designed by inventor Nikola Tesla in 1891. Tesla coils can be used for wireless transfer of electricity. It is used to produce high-voltage, low-current, high-frequency alternating-current electricity. A fluorescent lamp lights up when brought near the tesla coil. This is due to the flow of electrons in the lamp which is caused by the high voltage generated by the tesla coil.
    Parts needed for making tesla coil
    1. 2N2222 NPN transistor
    2. Enameled copper wire , 20-28SWG, 10 metres length.
    3. 2.2 kilo ohm resistor
    4. 9V battery
    You can watch this video and learn step by step, how to make a tesla coil.

    How does a 9 V DC battery power 120 V AC light bulb

    • @Science_4U_
      @Science_4U_  4 місяці тому +1

      Hi friend. That is the principle of tesla coil. This coil has the ability to produce output voltages up to several million volts based upon the size of the coil. The Tesla coil works on a principle to achieve a condition called resonance. Here, the primary coil emits huge amounts of current into the secondary coil to drive the secondary circuit with maximum energy. The fine-tuned circuit helps to shoot the current from primary to secondary circuit at a tuned resonant frequency.

    • @Science_4U_
      @Science_4U_  10 місяців тому +1

      I used 8w bulb for this project. But infact any watt of CFL bulb is okay. The bulb should have a flourescent coating which lights up when brought near the tesla coil. The high voltage in the tesla coil causes electrons to flow in the bulb and causes it to light up. CFL bulb has this flourescent coating and hence will work with tesla coil. So a CFL bulb of any watt will work.

    How can you convert dc to ac with just 1 transistor?...🙄

    • @Science_4U_
      @Science_4U_  7 місяців тому +3

      Good question friend. The transistor acts as a high speed switch. So when the current goes on and off in micro seconds it becomes like AC because it is now getting ON and OFF alternatively.So just like AC, there will be an inrease in voltage and suddenly decrease at a very rapid rate. Also, the small DC voltage is converted to large AC spikes of the order of kilo volts in this switching circuit, but will have only microseconds duration. This causes the electrons in the flourescent coating in the bulb to get energised and it glows.

      @sabrinaxin4361 okay friend. No problem. Making tesla coil work is a little bit tricky. Make sure you use a very good battery with good AH rating. Use battery with atleast 9-12volts. Also bring the bulb nearby and rotate in different directions. At some instant, it will light up.

      @sabrinaxin4361 Also, can you check whether the transistor is getting heated up?

      Hi dear friend. It is not at all a fake video..You can see lots of videos of tesla coil in youtube. I don't get anything by showing fake video.
      It is not the plastic that creates electromagnet. The coil that is wound over the PVC pipe generates very high voltage pulses which causes the bulb to light up due to flow of electrons by the high voltage..
