I have a 2010 Model Hyundai Verna CRDI which almost clocked around 2 Lakh+ Kms but still it's running very smoothly and also it still gets serviced from the Authorised Hyundai Service Centres.

Do not buy unless Globa NCAP safety rating is minimum 4 star or Above. Do not trust on Asian NCAP. Hundai often befool customers by showing ANCAP not GNCAP.

@@Lohitangtripathy2003 the safety gimmick almost always ends up being more for the cAr than the people inside, but a dent or scratches big or small is alway same when clAiming repair by insurance n hyundais insurance is way more easier than tata( ik cause my family owns a tata safari gold edition n a i20 is my daily drive). The average indian appeal for car is a contradiction itself, they want a high performance for a car they’ll spent more time being stuck in traffic but don’t want a sporty looking car n prefer the basic taxi design, better to get an ambassador with a performance engine atp.

Nice detailed review, I own the previous generation Verna diesel model. Not sure why Hyundai stopped the diesel models which was their most selling model in Sedans. Hope they reconsider their decision and bring back the diesel engines
I have always fallen in love with sedans whenever I watch Hyundai Verna or Honda City, these 2 cars are best-selling sedans in the reign of SUVs. New Verna looks are impressive, stand out design, never before grill design, and tail lamps are good too. Although too many edges in the body panels could be responsible for the early aging of the vehicle. The interior looks clean and elegant. Hyundai needs to think seriously about safety features which are not so good as of now.
I was always a Sedan fan but after seeing Harrier, Creta, Seltos, my preferences changed but again, after seeing this Verna, I am about to circle back.
I'm a big sedan lover, previously I owned Chevrolet Optra Magnum Diesel and Hyundai Verna Fluidic 1.6 diesel, want to go with Skoda slavia but family members were more interested in a SUV as getting in and out of sedans are a big pain for them, currently I own XUV 700 Diesel

Look wise, Virtus is the best, simple yet ageless. Verna looks more like a toy car which I use to buy as a kid, Pata hi nai chalta tha ki aage kaun hai aur piche kaun... Honda City: A family comfortable car. VW Virtus: simple yet sporty for Youth. Skoda Slavis: One who likes more funky. Hyundai Verna: Modern looking Inside out.

Although Hyundai presented the 2021-22 Verna with a 1.0L Turbo Engine as a high-end option (ex-showroom at INR 16.5L+), they opted not to include it in the 2023 Verna model. Instead, they maintained the older and more affordable 1.5L Naturally Aspirated engine to achieve a lower price point. In contrast, VW and Skoda have chosen to equip their Virtus and Slavia models with the latest turbocharged engines, featuring a more powerful 1.0L Turbo Charged engine starting from their base variants. This positions them at a similar price level as Hyundai's models with older technology naturally aspirated engines. To make their older engine technology more appealing, Hyundai has incorporated a few attention-grabbing features to mask this fact. Not many people are allured by this so-called "Futuristic" design. Virtus is the best looking one in the lot.... But, virtus has a slightly slanting underbody, which makes it a very little bit odd to look. Virtus is a whole lot cheaper (2 LAKHS!!!) and in terms of performance too, in discrepancy with what's on papers, virtus gives a REALLY tough competition to verna...

After having test driven virtus, City and new Verna.. I definitely fell in love with driving dynamics of the virtus and the city.. whereas I didn’t feel the same when I drove Verna turbo dct.. it’s like my mind says to buy Verna considering the amount of features they provide.. but the heart has deeply fallen in love with the virtus and the city.. the way those vehicles perform is unmatched by Verna .. am not talking in terms of power.. it’s just the way those vehicles handle and perform is literally on another level.. am kinda leaning towards city just coz of its reliability .. at the end of the day .. all these vehicles have pros n cons.. All one has to do is listen to their heart before buying

I have VW Virtus Topline Automatic. I have covered 15k Kms in just 4 months. Have taken it to different terrains. Buying Virtus was the best decision of my life. Amazing Car and a true head turner.
Giving powerful engine is fine but Hyundai should also focus on structural safety and high speed control. Hope they understand this before buyers understand importance of safer cars.
I'm A Big Fan Of Verna..... We Have The 2017 Version Of Verna. The 2019 Facelift Was The Best In Terms Of Looks Imo. But This Verna, Only The Rear View Looks Good. The Front View Looks Just Like A Bigger Version Of Hyundai Santro

Giving powerful engine is fine but Hyundai should also focus on structural safety and high speed control. Hope they understand this before buyers understand importance of safer cars.

Looking at the front. It grilles seem to be a bit naked but its frontal look giving a feeling of electric car (if you ignore the open grille).

I'm A Big Fan Of Verna..... We Have The 2017 Version Of Verna. The 2019 Facelift Was The Best In Terms Of Looks Imo. But This Verna, Only The Rear View Looks Good. The Front View Looks Just Like A Bigger Version Of Hyundai Santro
SUV is more of family man's choice but sedans especially 4 door coupe are a STAG's SWAG !
