Ok, sorry I just have to say this. The thing [I love] about Greg Koch is simple. He is GK All Day Long, Every Damn Day and OWNS IT! Every note. ....Where as JB.. - well, he is a great guitar player, but he's always EJ this, RF that, FK over here, BBK there, how about some EC, some more EJ, a dash of GM and.... have you heard my EJ licks? Here ya go! - He's still standing on the shoulders of giants and sadly, still hasn't found his own feet. He has managed to keep people interested in Blues music and maybe bring it to a new audience, which is a good thing. ...But Wildwood, Please post more Greg Koch videos!
You kinda nailed it hahah
Greg Koch your the man, I would pay to see you in the UK
I taught Mega Greg to play guitar when he was about 12 or 13.
no one could just out and out cut Greg's head. there is no doubt that Greg is unique..but...look at his face here there....he's enjoying joe's performance here. Joe's a great player tho.........just a bit more traditional. its not a sport. its an art. i really really really really enjoyed these videos.
Sun glasses can’t protect you from the gristle monster.
It's a shame most people have never heard of Greg. I'd been a fan of his for years, I was accidentally at this show, didn't know Greg was even in Denver, and out he strolls.
I’ve heard of him
amazing vid!!
Blues impro is so much fun…………..
I JUST LOVE PEEPS THAT HATE ON THINGS.THERE THE MOST JEALOUS F'S AROUND.LOL JUST ENJOY THE MUSIC & STFU.HATERS ALWAYS MAKE ME LAUGH.
If these videos don't inspire you to play till you bleed nothing will.
men i wanna play, but nowhere near greg
Here we have two distinct personalities and therefore two distinct souls communicating in their own ways. The only actual competition is in the minds of those who couldn't emotionally handle sharing the stage had they the talent, tools and the opportunity.
I love Greg's playing! A genuine guitar hero!
No idea why such a historical blues concert isnt available on dvd, etc😔
Greg kicks Joe's butt right there...
I love P-90s!!!
Greg and Joe are both great... but Greg mopped the floor with Joe. Sorry, Joe.
lol....at least joes got the guts to get greg up there , damn who wants to solo after greg.
nice how GK's plugged into a measly combo amp while Bona's got the great wall of marshall stacks going on back there...& some vaudeville tomfoolery. yessir!
Does anybody have more fun playing the guitar than Greg? Damn that guy is relentless. Oh and Joe ain't bad either lol. amazing
Holy mother of God!
fantastic bonamassa and greg koch
I want to see J Thackery and Popa Chubby up there with Greggy. I think Jimmy could make Greggy sweat.
He’s a fan of thackery, i believe he has a story about seeing him
Just once, I want Greg to join in here walking onstage with the Prince Purple Rain guitar. (White Cloud.)
No explanation, just there ready to wail on the totally inappropriate looking White Cloud.
Is that Sammy Hagar on the drums loo
Greg is an epic player!
Everybody seems to forget that a Les Paul run clean with minimal amount of junk in the signal, is absolute guitar tone nirvana. Greg blows it out of the park making that thing scream but, Joe makes it weep with that tone and ups the ante tremendously. Just shows you how to follow somebody who burns it down.
I think we all have had a incredible guitarist who was on fire blaze through a solo like that and then hand it over to you. THUD !!!
There ya go buddy....
F. great! Some superfine guitarplaying and good vocals! Like!
what can ya say abt dat muggwumps? bad to da damn bone! say what felix?
Crazy! I don't think I've ever heard a sweep picking riff done that way before.
Greg is ripping all over this one!
AS nice as this is a violin would sound much nicer.
I like how Joe has to do it save after Gregs solo
He couldn't hear him self with that stack of Marshalls...
Nailed it guys. awesome !
fantastic les paul sounds.
Amazing! Greg rules!
Greg rules!
I fell asleep while mr. boremassa played his finger practice licks. Where's the musicality in that? Also his singing sounds like he is singing the same song all the time while the song changes. Joe should hire Greg to play lead guitar and sing as a lead vocalist.
Or he could hire you? dumbass... its called blues what JB's playing look it up (y)
Wow, you really think that about Joe Bonamassa? Even if you don't like his vocals, you can't deny his talent as a guitar player. A blues player. But, everyone has their own opinions and it'd be a boring world if they were all the same. Anyway, check out JB @ the Royal Albert Hall if you care to. Might change your mind on his music. Anyway...
DUDE! Joe brought Greg up as a guest. He's not trying to cut his head. And he sure could if he wanted to.
I wish you would fall asleep for longer you dumb fuck troll. Joe4sadass.
Why is he a troll? He can't have an opinion about Joe gear pimp Bonermassa? When I hear Joe I hear a technical master, but soulless songwriter and complete copycat punk guitarist, without any voice of his own. John Mayer who is maybe 1/10th the technical guitarist of Joe, at least has a voice. The second I hear 2 notes from John's guitar I know it's him. Bonermassa just sounds like a random cover player copying the greats that he likes.
