First of all I have to say that I didn't know this film yet and I'm glad that I was able to get to know this film through you. Since you like musicals and musicals films (I also love musicals and musicals films) I have to ask you, have you ever seen the musical film "Across the Universe from 2007"? It's a musical film with the songs of the Beatles, the film is funny, inspiring and, what you like, it's a romantic film.

Herod was as bad a villain as there ever was. Ordering the slaughter of infants is as bad as I can imagine. Great reaction like usual!

I completely agree with the wise men. Theyre my least favorite part. I dont like the forced comedic relief of them. There are points where its just naturally funny. It didn't need them.

Up there with the best you've ever reacted to. I'm glad you give it a chance & was pleasantly surprised , the characters surpassed expectations. The love that grew between Mary & Joseph was captivating , it was a refreshing & unique take on the nativity were so familiar playing in as children , but as rom com , who saw that coming , i wish you could bump into someone like that , you might not believe it , but destiny does bring people together , my mother often talked about falling in love at first sight , maybe it only happens once in a lifetime , you never know.
Antonio was a tour de force relishing his role camping it up , he's such a good actor at switching between being comical & sinister , could the mascara make him look any more evil . We know he's got a voice that delivers since Evita , he's really booming out Good to be King with conviction & the centurions throughout are busting some moves. I could imagine it as a success on stage , the sets are wild , did you notice the 🦁 head has a double meaning , Jesus was known as the lion of judah & it looks like it's devouring the throne.
The 3 wise men were kinda wacky , wot a deep voice , I recognised Omid Djalili , famous as a stand up , I liked his hilarious TV show before it got cancelled , every time I hear about Myrrh I can't but think about the scene from Monty Pythons life of Brian .
When it comes to the Angel Gabriel , I can see where there going with him appealing to a modern audience but it isn't wise to mock Archangels , yes there higher beings of light but have been portrayed as quite terrifying , hopefully they also have a sense of humour , those piecing blue eyes had to be contact lenses or just affects. As a family movie good luck explaining all about the immaculate conception. I did find out that in the bible that Gabriel also visited Elizabeth's husband Zechariah with news of another special baby called John even know she's to old to be pregnant.
Mary singing " mother to a saviour" atop the desert landscape was so sweet & tender , Fiona has such a beautiful voice not unlike yourself , hopefully a break will come your way one day to , they say be ready for opportunities that often comes by accident or just go out & create your own.
Joseph splitting in two , another showstopper , it's always great when an actor can show both sides of their range , he had to cast out any doubts to keep his faith. I to was confused for a moment with king Herod having nightmares , I would say it's a guilty conscience but doesn't look like he has one. It is worth reading up more on the momentous times he lived through , the Bible taken some libertys with the truth not that I'm an expert , there's no evidence about the massacre of the innocents , only his own children , the census didn't happen during his reign , he was a great builder even know he was a monster & was involved in overthrowing Rome with Anthony & Cleopatra. The father son dynamic & the obsession with power always interesting , Joel Smallbone from king & country was great casting , usually musicians don't make good actors , his choice to save them had me on the edge of my seat , blood isn't thicker than water after all.
I liked that the Donkey also got some sreentime , their cute & funny , I don't know how that would go down today giving one as a gift to your Betrothed.
I agree about 'Silent Night ' it maybe the most popular along with Hallelujah , it's my favourite time just before Christmas , it feels so magical. The closing scenes were so spectacular , I got goosebumps when she started singing & the Angels appeared , I've heard about people when they saw this on the big screen it moved them to tears. Overall I really enjoyed it & it didn't matter if your religious or not because it was a labour of love , everyone's really talented it's free from the usual Hollywood fooder & like Angel studios you don't need a lot of money to tell a inspiring message & be successful. All be keeping an eye out on what Adam Anders does next..
